Hello Hive,
I'm just flexing this beautiful food we had by my uncle Juan's house together we shared eating with the family today.
It's just so happened that two of my aunts went home in the mountain from the city to visit grandpa because of his bad condition so uncle Juan made a traditional meal mostly serve in the mountain because of its availability. Since I only live by the next municipal I went there also to meet aunts and see grandpa.
And here is the 3 major favourite food we had.
**white corn grits**
(Locally known mais kan on in our dialect is our substitute for rice and most of us before usually prefer this corn grits since it's commonly planted by us and rice is way expensive to buy.)
**kinilawg isda**
(Filipino version of Ceviche)
**utan aw uy**
(I don't know how it had its name but it's just a combination of fresh green vegetables and the main ingredient is the horseradish. We also put on eggplant, okra, sweet potato, ube, jute young leaves, season with salt and seasoning. Utan law uy is very common in the mountain because usually, people prefer plantings because of the distance from the market so most of us use fresh ingredients just like what we use in this food most of it was freshly picked from uncle Juans little garden so it's so healthy and most enjoyed paired with dried fish.)
(that's my cousin preparingâș)
In old times we commonly sit down on a bamboo floor but time started to change in modern days mostly floors are concrete đ and only a few like to eat by hands already but it's okay we have to deal with it sometime.
I'm happy and still proud to grow up in this kind of life. This simplest way of gathering makes my/our heart full love. It's not just the food but also the people you spent your time that even for only sometime you could be with them and that's the true gems you should treasure your family cause life is too shortâ€
And this is all about today
Love and kisses everyone!!!
