The party continues for the Big 3 (BTC, ETH, LTC) and The Locals (HBD, HIVE, CUB). How long this party lasts is anyone's guess. Even so, it's a good idea to keep tabs on how these 6 cryptocurrencies are doing. Also, while project coverage continues into the foreseeable future, coverage of the first project covered by this series, hive.ausbit.dev concludes. This post will show the closing prices for some cryptos as of 2022 February 6.

hive.ausbit.dev.Closing Prices for Some Cryptos, 2022 February 6
This is the reason for this post!
| Crypto | USD (Previous) | 6 February 2022 | 24h Trend | Streak[*] |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | 41,494.000 | 42,476.000 | UP ↗ | wlwwwlwwlwwww |
| Ethereum | 3,018.6700 | 3,062.810 | UP ↗ | wwlWllwww |
| Litecoin | 122.290 | 127.600 | UP ↗ | llwwwlwwlwwww |
| HBD | 0.978 | 0.981 | UP ↗ | wlwwlwwllwwlw |
| HIVE | 1.190 | 1.230 | UP ↗ | Wlwllwwww |
| Cub Finance | 0.278 | 0.278 | UNCHANGED | wlwuwllwlwwwu |
Closing Prices come from their respective Historical Data pages at CoinGecko.com.
[*] = Now that streaks are getting longer to display-- especially a series of short streaks, I decided to use the following shorthand:
w = 1 Win w
The coveted W = 5w = wwwww
! = 2W = WW = wwwwwwwwww
--> (Wins are EXCELLENT!!)
l = 1 Loss
The dreaded L = 5l = lllll
? = 2L = LL = llllllllll
--> (Loss? Why, crypto, WHY??)
u = 1 UNCHANGED
The frustrating U = 5u = uuuuu
- = 2U = UU = uuuuuuuuuu
a = L1W1L1W1 -- alternating streak starting with L
A = W1L1W1L1 -- alternating streak starting with W
Winners (Closed Higher)
| Crypto | Streak | Comments |
|---|---|---|
| BTC | wlwwwlwwlwwww | Bitcoin has 4 higher closings in a row for it's longest streak since this series started. Will BTC convert its wwww to the coveted W? |
| ETH | wwlWllwww | 3 higher closings for ETH since the Groundhog Day Hangover. |
| LTC | llwwwlwwlwwww | Since 2022-January-26, LTC has been matching BTC. Like BTC, its wwww is the longest winning streak during this series. Like BTC, LTC is in a position to convert its wwww to the coveted W. |
| HBD | wlwwlwwllwwlw | HBD maintains is +/-0.050 stablecoin margin, only this time it closed higher got a w. |
| HIVE | Wlwllwwww | Can HIVE be the first crypto covered here to earn its 2nd coveted W if it can join BTC and LTC with 5 consecutive higher closings? We shall see! |

UNCHANGED
| Crypto | Streak | Comments |
|---|---|---|
| CUB | wlwuwllwlwwwu | Technically CUB rose 0.000413 from 0.278084 to 0.278497, but CUB is usually quoted to Precision 3. This makes CUB UNCHANGED. This u is also the 2nd one for any of the 6 cryptos covered in this series, and CUB has them both. |
Why Those Cryptos?
Bitcoin and Ethereum
Even blue collar workers and/or independent contractors such as Canadian truckers discovered Bitcoin in their time of need. Combined market dominance for BTC and ETH dipped a bit to 57.6%.
HIVE and Hive-Based Dollar
If you're raising funds to finance a project or a trip of any length of time, skip GoFundMe and sign up for a Hive account. Unlike that troublesome service from Web 2.0, Hive is neutral or agnostic when it comes to who has accounts or for what reasons the HIVE is used. Is fund-raising on Web 2.0 a problem or a hassle? #Hive-fixes-this. Are you having trouble getting your message across?. #hivefixesthis
Knowing that money will be needed in the future for unexpected needs, some of their HIVE can be converted into HBD and placed into savings for a 12% APR.
Cub Finance
Did you know it's possible to swap ERC20 tokens from Ethereum for BEP20 tokens on Binance Smart Chain? Cub Finance has this ability thanks to the LeoBridge tool.
Source:LeoBridge at Cub Finance
Although the CUB price is still in the 0.200-0.300 range-- roughly 6% or 7% off its ATH-- CUB is on the move from its Groundhog Day Hangover price of 0.239 to a recent high of 0.280 and hanging at 0.278, CUB is still on salem so get CUB while supplies last!
Litecoin
Monero is the acknowledged leader among privacy coins, being the first to have privacy built-in from the start. Even so, Litecoin took a leap to separate itself from the pack of regular altcoins around 2022 January 31 by upgrading its network to use Mimblewimble privacy technology. This may explain its 6 hiher closings in the last 7 market sessions.

| Not including BTC and ETH, not every crypto is covered by any news source every day. For example, one source may have ETH news on Monday and Wednesday, another would have it on Tuesday and Friday. I'm looking for FUD-free news sources for both the Big 3 and the Locals. I may actually have an easier time finding sources for the Big 3 than for the Locals. Ideally the news would be intraday in order to explain why a crypto went up or down during a 24-hour period; not technical analysys, but somews which came out to cause the rise or fall in prices. If anyone can recommend news sources which are good specifically for these cryptos, please let me know in the comments. |
Something To Read Besides a Table
My quest for finding news sources covering the Big 3 and the Locals is proving productive. The search continues for more news we can use.
Hive has 156 dApps in various stages of development for the Hive platform. I thought it would be a good idea to stay in-house and promote our own offerings. Since this series is devoted to closing prices for some cryptos (with Litecoin replacing EOS), the natural first dApp to cover is hive.ausbit.dev by "@"ausbitbank.
Today's Bit about hive.ausbit.dev
The last post covered the menu items Anonymous Servers for Crypto, which lead to the privacy-oriented network infrastructure company Privex.io. This final installment of "Today's Bit about hive.ausbit.dev" notes the Project Announcement Post:
For anyone interested in even more detail on hive.ausbit.dev, this post should explain much more than I could here. It also shows how a a post is rendered by hive.ausbit.dev.

hive.ausbit.dev displays this post a lot like how PeakD displayes posts, but there are many differences in both presentation and opetions. Take a few moments to give this page a test drive to get a feel for how hive.ausbit.dev works as a blog viewer. If you like what you see, leave a reply to that post.
This post concludes coverage of the project hive.ausbit.dev. Next time, on "Closing Prices for Some Cryptos." project coverage starts for Terrive, a Hive-based alternative to Instagram.
Just My Two Sats
The partying continues for the Big 3, HIVE, and HBD.
While CUB looks as if it remained UNCHANGED, it picked up 0.000413; usually CUB is quoted to Precision 3, so that means that CUB is virtually UNCHANGED.
The quest for news links continues. In the case of the Locals (HIVE, HBD, and CUB), news from outside sources will validate whatever content Hivers publish on the chain regarding these three cryptocurrencies.
The Project Announcement Post for hive.ausbit.dev gives a much better explanation of the web site than I tried doing here over aseries of short posts. Coverage on hive.ausbit.dev concludes, but the series continues with coverage for Terrive, a Hive-based alternative to Instagram.
