I love how after a recent rain, many mushrooms will surface. The fruiting bodies rise from the soil and reproduce. There are so many different kinds, they come in shapes, colors and textures that are all different from each other. We walk over fungus all the time and do not know its there until a fruiting body rises.
A few people on Hive found these fruiting bodies and shared pictures of them. Here are five minnows on Hive I found with some interesting mushroom posts.
Special thanks to the Fungi Lovers Community for being a group that focuses on mushrooms. Many great posts were found there. The admin there is and mod on there I know from Qurator is
for all of the sharing of cats, succulents and mushrooms.

Fungi Friday: New October Mushrooms
@annephilbrick/fungi-friday-new-october-mushrooms
Searching for mushrooms can be fun, many times we have no idea of what kind we find. This was the case for while going on a fall walk through the woods. Two mushrooms were found and many pictures are in this post of them.

Mushrooms can grow out of old dead wood in many cases. When a trunk of a tree dies, fungus will fill the void the living tree left. It may take many years but eventually the fruiting bodies will emerge from the colonized wood. In this case an old tree trunk serves as a support for a lemon tree.

Light Painting Fungi by

Painting plants and fungi with UV light can give some really interesting effects. This minnow on Hive shows us how they use a black light, tripod and a camera with a long shudder time to take pictures of a mushrooms fruiting body at night.

Mushroom Monday - Lots of new stuff to see! by
@dannewton/mushroom-monday-lots-of-new-stuff-to-see
Traveling to the Roughton Moor Wood Nature Reserve in the fall, many mushrooms were found on this trip and pictures were taken and put into this post. Pictures were captured in different stages and some different kinds of mushrooms. I really enjoyed seeing the large variety of types in this post.

Fungi Friday, Oranienbaum by
@tatdt/fungi-friday-oranienbaum
Sometimes when you find a mushroom fruiting body, another creature reached it before you did. That was the case in this post. A critter came by and munched on these mushrooms before a picture could be taken. Only a couple little bites, maybe the animal or creature was tasting and did not like it. So left most of it behind. Great captures along with some identification in this post.
Thats my curation of five minnows on the Hive Blockchain for the week. Stay tuned next week to see the next five of Solo's picks.
