Raspberry Liquer
Making Raspberry Liquer, Recipe
Most of you know, I have a large Raspberry bush growing in the garden. Daily, I pick about half a cup. Some times I pick every other day, and end up with bit more than a cup... just depends on which branches and what's ripened! There's no way for me to get through all of them, so, I was thinking, "What to do?, What to do?" After all, I don;t want theme nding up in the compost pile.
Recipe For Raspberry Liquer
- About a cup of Raspberries.
- About half a cup of Sugar
- About a cup of premium Vodka... Ketel One® is my choice!
Squish the berries down into the bottle.
Add sugar to cover the berries. A wee tad more, can't hurt. (abt tablespoon)
Add about a cup of Ketel One®
Each morning for about a month, shake the bottle vigorously.
Give the Liquer about 6-8 weeks, longer if you can. For me, this will be part of some dessert on Thanksgiving.
Not sure what it will be drizzled on, but...
...stay tuned!
This is great in the freezer for half an hour and drizzled on vanilla ice cream, or on a dessert shortbread, or in a snifter, simply sipping in front of the fireplace, with your loved one, in your arms.
At no time, did my Prep Cook sample my Ketel One®
One of the strawberries I also picked this morning did not fair as well. It was last seen being ferried about the house, in Tucker's mouth.
