Hey everyone. Today I will be doing a quick healthy recipe post. If you have read some of my earlier posts, you will see that I have talked about some of the health benefits of turmeric. Well today I will show you one way to incorporate some more turmeric in your diet. Lets get to it...
For this recipe you are going to need the following:
Coconut oil
Carrots
Shallot
Fresh Turmeric
Fresh Ginger
Garlic
Plain Greek Yogurt or Kefir
Apple Cider Vinegar
Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
Kosher salt or Sea Salt
Cumin
Crushed Red Pepper
Directions:
Heat 1 Tbsp of coconut oil in a skillet over high heat. Add 2 chopped carrots, 1 chopped shallot, 2 Tbsp chopped turmeric, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, and 1 Tbsp chopped ginger. Cook these items for 30 seconds
Add 1 cup of water and reduce heat. Cover and cook for 7 minutes.
Place cooked ingredients in a blender with 1/2 of plain Greek yogurt or Kefir, 2 Tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar, 2 Tbsp fresh orange juice, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, and 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
And you are done. You now have a health sauce that can be used to drizzle over roasted lamb, grilled chicken, or any dish that you want. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon.
