It's not actually my first running update I know, but I'm just gonna number them from now on, it's easier than doing the date, which takes effort.
A total of 4 runs this week:
- Sunday - slow 8Ks
- Tuesdays - 5Ks intervals
- Thursdays - 5.5 Ks longer intervals
- Saturday - 5K park run (forgot code!)
Total distance = 23.5K
I honestly don't know where the 4 runs came from! I did a run last Saturday too, so 2 runs back to back at the beginning of the week!
Sunday's Run - 8K slow run
It was quite warm, I could have done with some sun cream. Just kept it nice and slow, heart rate below 150, mostly!
Tuesday's Run - Intervals
One for the bank and what I call a classic set of intervals - 5* 400 and then a little 200 metre stint on the end.
Thursday's Run - 5Ks and fartleks
Same route as Sunday's run - this is my standard route - and longer intervals today!
Saturday's Run - Park Run
Forgot my damn bar code, but the guy in front of me said he got a time of 21.45 ish and Strava tells me it's my third best time, so I did OK even though I felt like I was going quite slow.
Next week's plans
Long run on Tuesday, up to the hills I think, then I'll move my short intervals to Tuesday, and I might just do the Park Run Saturday too. Two in a row, got to make up for that missing bar code!
