As I post this SPS is currently trending at $0.063, it has taken a dip down, hopefully it will bounce back soon! Additionally, there are 892,365 packs to go until the next legendary summoner, they are not dropping as fast as before, must be the rift watchers!
Since I have been looking at cards a little bit more, the lore really pops, and this one, has gladiators within the brawl, so let’s look at the one that I used, Captain Katie:
The Lore behind the Captain Katie by Splinterlands:
A bright-eyed and loud-mouthed 5 year old stood tall on the bow of her daddy’s ship, holding onto the rail tightly as the boat tilted toward the sky before teetering over another wave. The ΛZMΛRÉ seas were especially choppy that day and a storm quickly brewing, but little Katie didn’t care. She felt like she was flying in those moments.
After the ship came slapping back down onto the churning water, Katie looked over her shoulder and there was daddy fighting with the wheel. She could see the crew behind, pulling ropes, tying knots and screaming inaudible curses at each other and the oncoming storm. Her daddy shouted “Get away from the edge!” There was another wave coming, but Katie obeyed her father and ran to his side.
“Hold onto me!” her father said as he steered the massive ship straight into the coming wave and braced himself. She wrapped her little body around his tree trunk leg just as he’d taught her. She knew she was safe holding onto his leg. Her daddy was the strongest man on the ship.
“When I grow up, my ship will sail up there!” Katie screamed at the top of her lungs while pointing at the sky just before the impact. Her father looked down at her, smiled fearlessly and chuckled out loud.
As the wave hit, Daddy was laughing and shouting “ready to fly!?” She was. Katie felt an incredible rush as the ship pointed straight toward the sky, but this wave was considerably bigger than the others. It engulfed and capsized the ship, and somewhere in the chaos, Katie lost her hold on her father’s leg. Katie was one of only three souls on the ship that night who survived; her father was not among them.
More than 2 decades later, Captain Katie stood on the front deck of her airship as it tore the blue skies above Khymeria. The wind was whipping her face, but she didn’t mind. Most of the other airship captains wear thick scarves on their faces to prevent windburn, but not Katie. Her skin is too tough for the likes of windburns. She was suddenly reminded of that tragic life-changing day when she lost her father, and she wondered if he would be proud of how she now sails in the sky.
Not only is Katherine Windrun the best airship pilot in Kyhmeria, but she pioneered in the recent creation of these mechanical sky beasts. Because of the crystal propulsion system that can be constructed there alone, Khymeria is the only Splinter that has taken to the skies. Her ship, Windrunner 2 is without a doubt the fastest of the airships. It can be sailed with a crew of as few as four people and a single boiler generates all the steam that is needed to fly the massive vessel.
Captain Katie was recently offered a handsome reward by the Order of the Silver Shield to sign onto a one year term as a Moxian Gladiator in representation of Khymeria. While flying has always been her passion and her life, fighting has been her favorite hobby. She is skilled in all weapons of close combat and forms of physical defense. She also has a bunch of steam-powered tricks up her sleeve, different applications of the same crystal tech that allows her to fly.
We only filled 10 out of 16, we are still missing out on this one. I am in the Bronze league with only Chaos Legion cards, with 9 battles to my name.

Staying in the home arena this time, I went and chatted with

After that loss, now I am walking the long road to fighting on the enemy’s territory. Looking at 54 mana and basic. I went life for the extra boost, but they went life as well, with heavier hitters than I have. Yeah… that did not go well either…
Battle #4 (Link)
Staying away from home on this one, 26 mana, all ranged and magic have snipe and blast, light and dragon only. I went light, since that is the only choice I had, they went dragon, very similar lineups on this on. Yeah, they just went before me and I got slaughtered.
Battle #5 (Link)
Not going well for me on this one, started off great, but now, hopefully a victor in the home arena with 36 mana, equalizer, and heavy hitters. I went earth on this one for the double double strike to hopefully get them down quickly. However, this did not go well for me.
Battle #6 (Link)
I am now at the point where I need to win all of them to be, so let’s start this off well with the home arena! Looking at 24 mana, no melee and divine shield. I went light on this one, hopefully I can bring home a win. They have light as well, just a little different makeup than myself. However, won out on this one!
Battle #7 (Link)
This one is the second to last fight in the enemy arena looking at 21 mana, opportunity and no neutral, that makes it interesting! I decided to go water, with a taunt and heal, I hope it will work! They went water as well. The taunt and the heal worked out well for me this time around!
Battle #8 (Link)
Last one away, let’s keep the streak going, kind of how a piece of bread is a naked pizza… 58 mana and super sneak. I did go fire with some really big heavy hitters, just slow which is the downside. They went fire as well, similar to me on top of that, interesting. My heavy hitters won out on this one!
Battle #9 (Link)
The homecoming match, I hope to be victorious so that I can wear the crown! 44 mana and basic, I decided to go earth on this one for that love of magic damage. They went fire with the new legendary summoner, this does not look good for me. However, it was not consistent damage across the board, so I had enough to squeak bye!
There is just over 13 hours to go and I am sitting on a 4 and 4 record, not horrible, not great, hopefully that last one will put me over the fifty percent threshold I have been looking for in the brawls. The guild is currently sitting in 6th place, hopefully we can at least maintain that one if not move up!
I ended up 5 and 4, at least over the fifty percent mark. The guild as a whole did good, however, we did end up in 8th place, behind 7th by 1, we just need to get more people into the brawls!
