Ramadan Kareem UAE and to all our Muslim Brother and Sisters!
Living in middle east is quite difficult for a non-muslim religion since the culture and beliefs are far different from one another. Personality indifferences are observed, we became more conscious and mindful in our behavior specially during their holy month which has been called as Ramadan.
The beginning and end of Ramadan are determined by the lunar Islamic calendar and is typically a day (or more) after the astronomical new moon. Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, improvement and increased devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. Ramadan also teaches Muslims how to better practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate; thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity.
The favorite and much awaited part after fasting is what they called Iftar, where all families, relatives and friends are having a social gatherings with their traditional dishes and sweets. Often times it was offered in hotels, mosques, and other restaurants from which "giving" is their best practice.
So how did we celebrate our Iftar.... through INVITATIONS! 😉
My friend, Dana, who is currently handling one of our sisters' company magazine had an invitation from a representative of Anantara Hotel Ms. Ghaida Arabi, Area Public Relations & Comunications Executive. Luckily I am, she invited me to come and guess what, this is my very first time Iftar experienced!
Yes! It's my first time and I really enjoyed spending my night with Dana and got amazed in the interior/exterior of Anantara. The place was massive, astonishing and the food are so delicious!
Upon entering the hotel, this huge chandelier welcomes you. The ambiance of the entrance is very calming as the lights emphasize each corner while the smell is likely a scent of a fresh flower giving a perfect mood for the guest.
While heading to the restaurant, I can't help myself not to take a photo in this vertical curved pathways, such an eye catchy for an Instagram post 😁.
And of course, seeing the place why we came here, absolutely mouth watering. Its flooding, foods are everywhere! 😍
As we sat in our table there's this dates and dried peach served as a fresh start for those who are fasting. They usually eat this as the first food to break the fast according to their tradition.
After a few bites of dates, here we go to the buffet. We took first a soup, Dana had a lentil Soup while I chose Carrot and Ginger Soup.
After taking the starter immediately we went in salad corner to grab some fresh vegetables and our favorite sushi!
Too many to choose from so I end up picking those I don't usually eat in the normal days. On a Diet? You probably will break it if you're being surrounded with all these kinds of food for sure! 😂
Next stop.... Main course! Meet, rice, fish and sea foods please! 😀😀😀
It's been an hour since we finished our five course meal. I highly recommend you guys to try it here! Though I don't know the price, you can still check in their website just click here

Lastly, we end our night tour by riding a yacht across the mangroves and it cost us for only AED 20.00 per head for 15 minutes, not bad at all right? Though it will be good if you do it during day time so you can see the view better.
It was a great night indeed! Thank you Ms. Ghaida for inviting us and thank you to my friend Dana for having me in this wonderful iftar. I really had fun, now I know how it feels having iftar with friends and what its like to be in iftar night.
