This is one of the favourite spot for Hive account@enjiliew and I to enjoy the fresh and delectable fish stir fried meehun with the very local taste. This kopitiam (coffee shop) started like 50 years plus and had been serving ever since our parents time. Thus, having the new generation as their new customers is good to sustain the coffee shop business. Most importantly, the food was good, just the waiting time was bad. Perhaps they have limited manpower to stir fried the noodles and also frying the fish upon order. I would agree with their SOP as this will ensure the fish is at the best taste and texture.

Apparently, found out that this shop's name is pronounced with Hokkien, so I would presume the family is Hokkienese family. A lot of the Penangnite are able to speak Hokkien though, inlcuding me.

The coffee shop is family run business whereby you can see three generations working side by side (the young generation are still little kid, helping their parents to greet customers sometime :p). In the shop there is also old relics like the music box that I found in the middle of the shop. Most of the customers were the elder generations. Hoping that they could catch up with more younger generations taste bud.

Can't judge the food through appearance though, the fish was fresh and they were well friend!

In the meantime, if you happen to visit Penang and staying in Sunway Hotel, the coffee shop is just 5 minutes walking distance away from the hotel! So do grab your chance to come before noon to get a taste of this authentic char mee hun!
