Talking about desserts, the first thing comes to my mind is none other than the more favored Malaysian dessert - Kuih Nyonya. There are various types of Kuih Nyonya and it comes with different shapes, colors, texture and taste.
Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake is a place that we won’t miss whenever we travel to Melaka. They make and sell their Kuih Nyonya in their own house. Although it’s in the middle of a housing area, it’s not hard to find because there are multiple road signs that lead you to their house.
They sell more than 20 types of Kuih Nyonya.
Having difficulty to choose? Not to worry, they prepared an assorted version as well.
Dodol is not bad at all.
My favourite of all is their Ondeh-ondeh. The green-coloured rice cake filled with the local best Sugar Melaka and coated in grated coconut.
Other than desserts, they also sell various type of traditional sources such as Sambal Belacan and Prawn Belacan. Their Kaya is a must try too.
My Final reviews:
Ambiance & Hygiene: 2 stars
Food: 4 stars
Worth the money : 3 stars
