Welcome to Tasteem, guide to my favorite restaurant. Today I would like to introduce you guys to my special place for the northern Thai noodle style.
Is my favorite food in the northern part of Thailand 🇹🇭. I'm not a northerner, but I have lived here for a long time. And Khao Soi is one of the local dishes that I like to eat very much.
Khao Soi is a native of northern Thailand, formerly called "Noodle Ho", which is similar to noodles but the noodles are yellow. It is called yellow noodles or egg noodles. In spicy yellow curry soup, side dishes are pickled vegetables, red onion and seasonings such as fried chili, oil, lime juice, fish sauce, sugar in the original recipe used in chicken or beef. But now many restaurants have used pork instead. Some may add seafood or tofu as a component. This dish is rarely available in Thai restaurants overseas. It is often found in the north of Thailand. In my opinion, if you want to have a real Thai taste, you must try this special dish in Thailand 🇹🇭
Khao Soi Sister’s restaurant locate on the route 1095 from Pai town where I live to Maehongson City. The old wooden house turned out to a traditional northern style restaurant, very warm and cozy.

The restaurant runs by the two sisters, one cooked and served foods and other one served drinks. Very well managed.
This is the first time I have eaten Khao Soi at this restaurant, usually have my favorite restaurant that I always go to, but my friend recommended me to try Khao Soi at this place because it’s sogpo, she said. Now here we are.
Here also has coffee and various beverages as juice or shake. Beside the coffee counter, there are some of local products for sell too.
Nice and clean place decorated in modern-northern style, tables made from different kind of wood, simple and easy to clean but not so comfortable though.
The restaurant has a big space with a lot of tables, suitable for group tours, group of friends or family with kids
Not many of choices here, Khao Soi is a restaurant menu. But there are other food service as well, like local noodle, set of rice with curry or Dumplings pork🥟 Normal price is 50฿. for each dish and 65฿. for extra size.
The choice of drinks is quite a lot. I can’t t wait to try it. I wanted to try some coffee here, but it was the afternoon, so I ordered a glass juice instead.
Come to the great restaurant for Khao Soi, but do not try Khao Soie, it would be strange. So, I and my friends designed to ordered one each.
This set was for me, Khao Soi was very tasty and the chicken was very well cooked. I like spicy so, add some more chili 🌶 will make the taste even better.
My drink was good too, sweet and sour taste was fresh me up.
My friend’s dish looks delicious too, well marinated pork. And the lime juice was so fresh. Maybe next time I will try it.
