Greeting steemians...
I've been to Kuching numerous time since the year 2007. I hated traveling especially using airplane. But, my BFF Jen met the love of her life in Kuching so she stayed here. I have to forced myself to board the aircraft that time to come to Kuching. It was not so BAD after all hahaha... You see, Kuching is very beautiful city. And...... Food? It was heaven for food lover like me. I am on a quest for this Sarawak Laksa. This local street food from Sarawak is actually very different from the curry laksa as the soup taste different because it has not a single curry in its ingredients. The bowl of soup of a laksa is based of some spices, lemon grass, galanghal, sambal belacan, tamarind and of course coconut milk. I love the taste of this unique soup (Who would have know that SAMBAL BELACAN and COCONUT MILK is marriage made from Food Heaven). From that moment I tasted this laksa, l'll make sure to have this laksa everytime I go and visit my friend in Kuching.
So, how its served is, the glass noodles is drowned into the delicious soup and its topped with some omelette strips, chicken strips, tauge aka bean sprouts (i opted out as I don't like tauge's taste), small prawns, fresh coriander, deep fried taufu and lime.
After having my laksa, I headed for my beauty quest... here is the link ... 👇
