Nearing the end of this pumpkin's life, but it was a wonderful journey of life and reproduction.
And with my human hand, will spread its genetics into the future.
This time around it will be the deer chomping the end of the vine and white powdery mildew that did it in... as is evident in the video. When the deer cut off its new growth so suddenly, it had not enough roots in the ground to push out new leaves as the white powdery mildew crept from the start of the vine to the end.
But a successful pumpkin was grown, even through an incredibly wet grow season. The wettest in a hundred years. Which only exacerbated the mildew issue everywhere.
One could focus on a different plant each time they watch this video and learn something new..
