Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
I have already mentioned a few times here that despite being a very avid eater, food photography is actually one of my least favorite photography categories and I venture in there very rarely.
But Friday comes with the Food Photography at and since I just had a very cool-looking and delicious meal here in Colombia, I decided to join this contest :) So what that did I relish here in Bogota? This!
This appealing and super hearty meal is called Bandeja Paisa and it is one of the most famous and traditional Colombian meals. Especially popular in the Antioquia Region of the country, this meal consists of a variety of different foods and it is usually huge.
Mine included a pork steak, chorizo sausage, chicharron (fried pork belly), fried egg, arepa (corn pancake), boiled beans, fried banana, avocado and rice. In my Czech homeland, we usually don´t mix that many different ingredients in one meal so it felt a bit weird to eat all these things at the same time but I must say it was really good and I felt full for long hours after finishing it, which is something that doesn´t actually happen to me very often :D
I had my Bandeja Paisa at a little cozy restaurant on the top of the famous Monserate Hill that towers above the city, hence the stunning view in the background ;)
