Everyone's first thought is to do more ab exercises like crunches and sit-ups.
Well, sorry to burst your bubble, this will actually increase your waist size over time
Your abs are like every other muscle, if you train them with progressive overload they will bulk up.
Which is the opposite of what we are trying to achieve.
My first tip is to start your lower calorie diet until your waist measurement reaches at least 50% of your height.

Once this is achieved you can keep leaning down to the point you are happy with how you look.

Lose more fat, follow a calorie controlled diet, do this consistently
