Its that time of year again. Time to shed the winter weight and get back into shape as summer is right around the corner.
Work Out Summary
Today I ran 5 miles in 50 minutes. So nothing crazy by any means, just a light 10 minute/mile pace as I get myself back into summer shape. In addition to the 5 miles, I also made sure to get in 10 pull-ups and 50 sit-ups. A nice and easy first day back into the work-out grind. I'll post my daily workouts each day so you can follow along.
Raspberry Smoothie Recipe
Lets face it, working out is only half the battle when it comes to getting back into shape and obtaining that body everyone desires. That's why I make sure to finish off each work-out with a protein shake in order to refuel my body after a long workout and provide it the nutrients it requires to build the muscle back up after tearing it down.
Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 cup ice
1 cup raspberries
1 scoop protein powder
1 tsp honey
Directions
To ensure the smoothie mixes properly, add the ice first, followed by the milk. Blend the ingredients together. Then add the raspberries following it with a blend. Lastly, add the protein powder and honey and blend together. This recipe will provide enough smoothie for 1 glass as shown below. In order to make more just increase each ingredient in the respective ratio.
