Greetings dear friends of Hive Pets. One of the most difficult things for me is to see animals in the street unprotected and even more when they are puppies. I would like to help you all, but it is clear that it is not possible. A few days ago near my place of residence I began to see a puppy, he had slight skin problems, almost not noticeable, his age seemed to be about 4 months old. I almost always saw him near the greengrocer's shop, it gave me a lot of feeling to see him there and in a certain way I consoled myself by observing that there were people who gave him food and water.

However, one day I saw him looking a little worse for wear, he looked sad and one of his paws was very swollen, he was dragging it, surely it had been stepped on. That caused me a lot of pain, the food and water that I am thankful the neighbors had given him was not enough, so I promised to help him. I also began to bring him food and water, however, I asked for guidance to a girl who leads a foundation for animals in street conditions on Facebook and with whom I have been in contact for years. She recommended me to buy Meloxicam, an anti-inflammatory for human use that can be used without problem in dogs, as well as the dosage I should give him. To reinforce the treatment, she donated me enrofloxacin, ¼ tablet of Bravecto and an injectable vitamin, I was very grateful.

The puppy was on the street, that worried me, sometimes I saw him lying on the pavement, he could be run over. He had some food, water and now medication. At the foundation they offered me veterinary help to check his paw. The bad thing about all this is the weather, rainy weather, I was worried about the puppy, he will have nowhere to shelter.

One of those afternoons when I went to bring him food and medicine, it was thundering and it was raining, I didn't have the heart to leave him there, so I took him home. The idea is to give him up for adoption once he gets completely better, besides, I can't leave him because I already have two dogs, Muñeca and Coco. That afternoon that I took him home, it rained, good thing he had a roof over his head.

To find him a home, the foundation made a flayer with my contact and named him Balto. I had to send him photos and videos to observe his condition. He complied with the treatment and is doing better, but his paw is still not settled, he needs a revision and maybe a plaque. These days have been difficult, not so much because of his care, but because of the coexistence with the other dogs.

Saludos estimados amigos de Hive Pets. Una de las cosas más difíciles para mi es ver animales en la calle desprotegidos y más aún cuando son cachorros. Quisiera ayudarlos a todos, pero es claro que no se puede. Hace unos días atrás cerca de mi sitio de residencia comencé a ver a un perrito, tenía leves problemas en la piel, casi ni se nota, de edad aparentaba tener unos 4 meses. Casi siempre lo veía cerca de la frutería, me daba mucho sentimiento verlo allí y en cierta forma me consolaba observando que había gente que le ponía comida y agua.

Sin embargo, un día lo vi algo desmejorado, se veía triste y una de sus patitas estaba muy hinchada, la arrastraba, de seguro fue pisada. Eso me causó mucho dolor, no bastaba la comida y el agua que agradezco le hayan puesto los vecinos, entonces, me prometí ayudarlo. También comencé a llevarle comida y agua, no obstante, pedí orientación a una chica que lidera una fundación de animales en condiciones de calle en Facebook y con quien tengo contacto hace años. Ella me recomendó comprar Meloxicam, un antiinflamatorio de uso humano que puede usarse sin problema en perros, además de la dosis que debía darle. Para reforzar el tratamiento, me donó enrofloxacina, ¼ de pastilla de Bravecto y una vitamina inyectable, estaba muy agradecida.

El cachorro estaba en la calle, eso me preocupaba, a veces lo veía acostado en el pavimento, podría ser atropellado. Tenía algo de comida, agua y ahora medicamentos. En la fundación me ofrecieron ayuda veterinaria para revisar su patita. Lo malo de todo esto es el clima, tiempo de lluvia que me preocupaba por el cachorro, no tendrá donde resguardarse.

Una tarde de esas que fui a llevarle comida y medicinas, estaba tronando y venía lluvia, no tuve corazón para dejarlo allí, así que me lo llevé a casa. La idea es darlo en adopción una vez que se mejore por completo, además, no puedo dejarlo porque ya tengo dos perros, Muñeca y Coco. Esa tarde que lo llevé a casa, llovió, que bueno que tuvo un techo.

Para conseguirle hogar, desde la fundación hicieron un flayer con mi contacto y lo llamaron Balto. Tuve que enviarle fotos y hacerle videos para que observaran su condición. Cumplió el tratamiento y está mejor, pero aún no asienta su patita, necesita una revisión y tal vez una placa. Estos días han sido difíciles, no tanto por su cuidado, sino por la convivencia con los otros perros.
