*So, I’ve been on Steemit for a month now. I haven’t been really active, as I’ve posted for only 8 times (this post is my 9th), that’s like 2 posts per week. As much as I would like to post more, my workload and schedule won’t allow me to. Also, I don’t want to post just anything, so I try (really, I try) to post things which I think will be worthy of a few minutes of the readers (I hope).* >In my 8 posts, I have earned a few thousand pesos. You might have read a lot of entries about what Steemians do with their earnings, especially newbies (like me).

As for me, I use my earnings to pay for my car’s fuel. Since the start of 2018, the prices of fuel in the Philippines have significantly increased as an effect of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Act. I gas up at Petron (Xtra Advance). When 2017 ended, the price per liter was only PhP48.xx, and when January 2018 came, with the implementation of the TRAIN Act, the price of Xtra Advance shot up to PhP53.xx per liter. See the 5-peso jump? That’s a lot.

_________________________ I once told my cousin @mysupermando about this, as we were planning on a lot of road trips, but we might face budget constraints. He then told me about Steemit. He has been a member for a few months. At first, I was hesitant, but he assured me that I can do this, since I like to take a lot of photos, and can write, if not good, at least “can.” Lol. I won’t make this any longer, so to sum it up, Steemit has been a great additional source of income, and also an outlet for me to develop my writing skills (if there is), and somehow share my experiences and to connect to a wider audience, outside of Facebook and Instagram.
