It’s always nice to watch the butterflies that often visit my backyard, especially when they have something that sets them apart from the rest. Obviously, it depends a lot on the type of butterfly, its colors, and other factors, but this one in particular stood out because of the underside of its wings, so I hope you enjoy these photos.

Siempre es lindo fijarse en las mariposas que suelen llegar al patio de mi casa, más cuando estas tienen algo que las hace distintas al resto. Evidentemente, depende mucho del tipo de mariposa, sus colores y demás cosas, pero esta en particular relucía por la parte baja de sus alas, por lo que espero que les gusten estas fotografías.

If I'm not mistaken, this butterfly was one of the first ones I ever photographed, and believe me when I say it's not that easy to photograph a butterfly with a kit lens, but even so, with patience and effort, I think I managed to get some really good shots.

Si no me equivoco, esta mariposa fue una de las primeras a las que les hice fotografías y créanme cuando les digo que no es tan fácil hacer fotografías a una mariposa cuando tu lente es de kit, pero aun así, con paciencia y esfuerzo, creo que logré varias fotografías muy buenas.

I should mention one thing: butterflies are certainly always on the move, which can be quite a challenge, but I was lucky enough that this one stayed right where you see it for over 15 minutes, no exaggeration. I took a lot of photos where the butterfly seemed to be enjoying being a model, because it kept changing poses.

Igual debo decir una cosa: ciertamente las mariposas suelen estar en constante movimiento, lo cual puede presentar un gran reto, pero tuve la suerte de que esta estuvo allí donde la ven por más de 15 minutos sin exagerar; yo hice una gran cantidad de fotos donde la mariposa parecía estar disfrutando ser modelo, porque cambiaba de pose constantemente.
