I'm pretty sure that was it. I didn't think it through: I knew the plant was winter hardy, but I didn't know that didn't go for newly born buds. Put it in the greenhouse, and new, green buds are appearing

Apparently, I forgot that even if a plant is winter hardy, newly born buds can't take frost. he's doing a lot better and is growing beautiful buds again since I've placed it inside the greenhouse :0)
