Saat ini banyak orang-orang yang ingin berburu bunga mawar hitam. Dan bagi sebagian orang, kalau mendengar bunga mawar hitam, pasti yang terlintas di benak mereka adalah fiksi belaka, tapi pad kenyataannya bunga ini telah ditemukan. Mawar yang indah ini telah ditemukan di desa Halfeti di Turki. Meskipun mereka terlihat hitam, mekar mulai keluar sebagai merah di musim semi dan gelap di musim panas. Nutrisi dalam tanah mulai dari sungai Efrat membuat daerah ini satu-satunya tempat dimana bunga-bunga ini bisa tumbuh.
