Writing isn’t just about randomly typing words onto a screen; for me, it’s a profound act of weaving an emotional architecture. When I look back—four years, to be precise—to the beginning of my passion for social communication with a focus on audiovisual media and writing, I don’t see a single figure, but rather a mosaic of influences. However, if I had to identify one constant source of inspiration, it would be the ability to transform the everyday into art.

Me inspiran los mentores que edifican con sus palabras y su ejemplo, con su técnica particular de hacer las cosas mágicas: la iluminación, el encuadre, la narrativa, porque esto se vuelve estéril, si no está al servicio de una emoción humana profunda. Mi elección de carrera nació del deseo de ser un puente, siempre quise usar la cámara y los bolígrafos para ayudar a otros a hallar la belleza en su propia historia.

El logro que me recuerda que todo es posible, no solo fue colgar un título en la pared o una medalla, sino la creación de espacios de auto expresión creativa, como escribir. Ver cómo una herramienta como el journaling puede convertirse en el refugio de una mujer me confirma que la vulnerabilidad es, en realidad, nuestra mayor fortaleza. La lección que aplico respecto a todo esto, es no esperar al momento perfecto, a tener el teléfono indicado, o a una señal de Dios o el universo, porque la historia que tienes que contar es más grande que la cámara que sostienes.

The achievement that reminds me that anything is possible wasn’t just hanging a diploma on the wall or a medal, but creating spaces for creative self-expression, such as writing. Seeing how a tool like journaling can become a woman’s refuge confirms to me that vulnerability is, in fact, our greatest strength. The lesson I take from all of this is not to wait for the perfect moment, the right phone, or a sign from God or the universe, because the story you have to tell is bigger than the camera you’re holding.

Por otro lado, en nuestra sociedad actual, existe una creencia que considero profundamente dañina: la glorificación del hacer por encima del ser. Esa cosmovisión que nos dice que si no estamos siendo productivos 24/7, estamos perdiendo el tiempo. Yo lo he sentido, es una presión invisible que nos empuja a una carrera sin meta y que fragmenta nuestra salud emocional. Esta mentalidad de la inmediatez, tener siempre más y la productividad tóxica, ha robado a muchas personas la capacidad de disfrutar el proceso, centrarse en el presente, vivir una slow morning sin culpa, o de entender que florecer toma tiempo.

On the other hand, in today’s society, there is a belief that I consider deeply harmful: the glorification of doing over being. This worldview tells us that if we aren’t being productive 24/7, we’re wasting our time. I’ve felt it myself; it’s an invisible pressure that pushes us into a race with no finish line and erodes our emotional well-being. This mindset of immediacy, always wanting more, and toxic productivity has robbed many people of the ability to enjoy the process, focus on the present, experience a slow morning without guilt, or understand that flourishing takes time.

Como alguien que creció entre la admiración a los adultos y el cuidado temprano de los más pequeños, hoy elijo proteger a las nuevas generaciones de la cultura de la inmediatez. Mi mayor enseñanza para ellos es que su valor es intrínseco, ajeno a sus notas o a su productividad. Les invito a abrazar el aburrimiento como el espacio donde nace la magia y a entender que la vida no es una cadena de producción. A veces, el éxito más grande es simplemente detenerse a contemplar la luz, permitiéndose ser, antes que hacer.

As someone who grew up balancing admiration for adults with caring for young children, I choose today to protect the younger generations from the culture of instant gratification. My greatest lesson for them is that their worth is intrinsic, independent of their grades or productivity. I invite them to embrace boredom as the space where magic is born and to understand that life is not an assembly line. Sometimes, the greatest success is simply stopping to contemplate the light, allowing oneself to be, rather than to do.

Resisto ante eso, practicando la flexibilidad consciente. Elijo estructuras que sean emocionalmente amables conmigo, en donde mi resistencia es el silencio, el café compartido sin prisa y la firme creencia de que una vida bonita, no es una vida perfecta, sino una vida presente.
