What is more festive or joy inducing than colorful funfetti! These baked donuts are a great way to inject some joy into your day-- they’re sweet, they’re easy, and they’re fun!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons jimmy sprinkles (the rod shaped ones)
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Prepare donut pan by greasing with light amount of cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350℉.
- Place butter, brown sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl, mix with electric mixer until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla and continue to mix until fully incorporated. Mix in the milk in two additions, again mixing until fully incorporated
- Add in the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix for 3 minutes. The batter should be somewhat thick.
- With a rubber spatula, gently fold in the sprinkles.
- Fill prepared donut hole pan, filling each donut hole only halfway.
- Bake for 11 minutes, the edges of each donut will be golden brown when done.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before frosting, I recommend frosting with strawberry glaze and dipping in colorful sprinkles for a festive effect
