I was craving a little comfort food yesterday but I didn't exactly want to eat a whole bunch of fried food so decided to make the most clean version I could. ☺️
Everything was made oven roasted and finished in about 1 hour!
Ingredients for Wings:
1 1/4 cup of Spelt Flour
Seasonings of Choice
(I used Onion Powder, Nutritional Yeast, Salt, Pepper, Cayenne and Paprika )
Water
Cauliflower
Directions for Wings:
- In a mixing bowl add your Spelt Flour and seasonings of choices in the amounts you desire. Then add enough water to make a batter. It should be much less stiff than cookie dough but also not as watery as pancake batter. Should be able to dip anything with the batter sticking to it.
- Take your cut pieces of Cauliflower and dip them in making sure to coast as much surface area. Don't go too thick with the crust it can really be too much sometimes. Once coated place on parchment paper to go in the oven.
- Allow them to bake for 35 minutes at 425.
- This temp for the oven is also perfect for making potato wedges so right next to your wings you can add some cut potatoes, little bit of seasoning and in roughly the same time they will be done! (keep an eye on the potatoes, cook time depends on how you cut them!
