When it comes to food, Singapore has so much to offer. There are so many to choose from that's why I never get bored. Every day I wonder what food I will try or taste. Among the many selections of food, I focused on local Chinese food these past few days.
One of my favorites is the Dumpling Noodle Soup! It costs about S$5 but it's worth it because it's really filling. Aside from the noodles, it also has 4 pieces dumpling and also comes with vegetables, dried anchovies, and egg. I broke the yolk while it's still partially cooked, that's why the noodle soup became creamy.
Earlier I ate at a restaurant that offered Teochew cuisine. There are many dishes to choose from, but the one I chose was the pork soup with carrots and raddish. I also got rice and eggplant with oriental sauce.
Another food stall that I usually go to is what they call mixed rice. It's the kind of shop where the dishes are pre-cooked and laid out on the counter for you to choose. I really enjoy this kind of experience because I can feel that I'm in control on what are the dishes that I want to eat and I can also choose how much of the dish I want to eat.
