This month, I've been a bit naughty by adding some carbs while on my Keto diet. I had a nice-sized turkey breast in the freezer and just wanted some comfort food for a change.
You could smell how delightful it was while the aroma wafted throughout the house. I can't express how much I love the smell of turkey roasting.
Normally, I cut up an avocado with olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing for lunch, along with either sardines, kimchi, cottage cheese, or homemade yogurt. At least if I do add a carb to my dinner meal, I don't feel like I'm going too far off the rails. lol
I have been fluctuating up and down between 2 and 3 lbs, and it is probably due to the extra carbs. This week, I've extended my intermittent fasting window in hopes of burning some extra fat.
Every week, I make a batch of coleslaw or fry cabbage so I have a keto-friendly side for dinner.
Now that the weather has been nicer, I've started walking a bit more since there is no ice or snow on the road. Usually, I do laps around the inside of the house to get extra quick steps in, but now it feels so nice to actually do it outside without falling.
Today, I will be making a Lentil soup for dinner with some homemade stock. I will have that at least twice this week for dinner, while hubby can have something else.
Thanks for visiting my post today, and I will keep updating on my progress.
