Long time since I shared a food recipe with you!
This is an easy recipe for raw vegan food and lifestyle lovers! BUT it's healthy, sweet and delicious enough for everyone, no matter if you are vegan, raw vegan, vegetarian or a meat lover!
It's REALLY REALLY EASY TO MAKE and all the ingredients are fully packed with vitamins, healthy fats and proteins, and so many other vital compounds that our bodies need! Feel free to indulge in these!
RAW ENERGY BALLS RECIPE INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup walnuts
- 5 medjool dates
- 1/4 cup sun flower seeds
- 1/3 cup hemp seeds
- 1/3 cup coconut flakes
- 1 tsp each cinnamon, turmeric, lucuma, blackcurrant, ginger, grape powder
- 2 Tbsp Agave (or honey)
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Butter/Oil
Raw walnuts, dates and hemp/sun flower seeds make up the base of these energy balls, but you can probably use any nuts or seeds you have on hand. Also, you can add whatever spices you like (maybe you want these with nutmeg and cardamom powder).
INSTRUCTIONS:
Prep time: 15-20 min
In a food processor, add first the walnuts, dates and sun flower seeds.
Pulse for 2 minutes until the nuts and seeds break down. The meal should be fine, but retain some texture (you don’t want to make nut butter)!
And just before that, add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until the dough is beautifuly homogenised and well combined.
Form 'the dough' into small balls and then roll them (optional) through coconut flakes, cacao powder or more spices.
You should get about 12-15 energy balls.
