Food on deck

I have been curious to try https://www.mediterraneanbreezewv.com/ for many months. It is not terribly far from where I live, but it is slightly off my normal path. I can finally say that Hive account@flowerbaby and I have finally eaten at this cool little restaurant.

We tried to go there a few weeks ago and were told it would be well over an hour wait for a table due to staffing issues. We left that day and ate elsewhere. Last weekend we tried again and were seated immediately. Our table was on the back patio which faces the Kanawha River. A lot of locals try to say our rivers are nasty and full of junk, but eating with the river as our backdrop was undeniably satisfying.

I ordered some grape leaves as our appetizer. I have always loved grape leaves and that love continued with the ones offered at this restaurant. They had a bit too much rice in them, but the flavor was so tasty. Hive account@flowerbaby on the other hand did not like them, which meant I had to demolish the entire order myself. I was 1000% okay with that.

^{Hive account@flowerbaby ordered a Chicken Gouda pizza. She enjoyed it somewhat, but she's a bit picky and said it was not perfect. Her shirt reads "I don't care", she may or may not be spoiled af. Truth be told, I think she was disappointed before she even took her first bite, as you can see from the above photo.}

^{I ordered steak and shrimp kebabs. I cannot say enough good about this dish. The steak was absolutely delicious, but the shrimp was somehow even better. Next time I will get all shrimp, the flavor was top notch.}

Photos on the river

There was a super loud party of 6 right behind our table, this seems to happen to us often. I guess we are just far more courteous than most people, probably because we are never drunk. Everyone else seems to have an alcoholic beverage (or many) which increases their volume. We need a universal controller to mute these fuckers, like in the Adam Sandler movie Click.

We got a few cool photos while we were waiting on our food. Hive account@flowerbaby couldn't decide whether she wanted her hair in braids or not. I was repping her Hive account@flowersaur brand, I love her logo so much (designed by me).

Full belly photos

After we finished up with our meal, I encouraged my babe to pose for some photos by the entry of the restaurant. These turned out quite well, but I did notice afterward that my shorts looked overly SHORT. I think it is funny, but damn do I love these shorts. They are normal length when I'm not sitting down on the edge of something like I was in these photos. I just got them a few weeks ago while visiting my brother, and they are now one of my favorite pairs of shorts that I own. By the way, look at that amazing blue tie-dye skirt that Hive account@flowerbaby is wearing. I love the combination of our styles together. She is a match made specifically for me.

I would go back to eat at Mediterranean Breeze again, although it was a bit pricey. The outdoor dining and kebabs were worth the money. I'm sure Hive account@flowerbaby will get something different next time.
