Do you think early spring is not the time for berry pieπ«ππ? I think it's the seasonπ Let's make a biscuit pie with berries and apple for tea. It's homemade π° delicious. I will use frozen berries for the filling. The berries were grown in my mom's garden. This Yoshta Berry Harvest has been harvested and I usually freeze the berries.
As usual, I offer you simple homemade recipes. I make my own meals and take pictures ... I experiment as a cookπ(as a pastry chef)π°π§and practice as a photographer.πΈ It's not always easy.
So, Berry and Apple Sponge Cake.
How to make a biscuit, you probably know
Ingredients:
For the sponge cake:
- 100g egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons sugar to the egg yolk
- 150g egg white
- 4 tablespoons sugar add to egg white
- Flour - 5 tablespoons
For the berry-apple filling.
- Yostaberries, Cherries - 200-250 g (pitted, frozen, in own juice or fresh)
- 1 apple
- Sugar - 2 tbsp.
- Corn starch - 2 tbsp.
Step by Step:
Prepare the filling.
- Mix sugar with cornstarch, add to yostaberries, cherries, grate 1 apple mix.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. 30 seconds.
- let cool.
1. Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar.
2. Whisk the egg whites and sugar until stiff.
3. Combine the beaten egg yolks and whites.
4 Mix the flour
5. Place half of the batter in a baking dish. Spread out the filling. Cover the top with the remaining dough.
6. Bake in a preheated 170C oven for 35-40 minutes, with a fan.
7. Let the pie cool. Dust the top with icing sugar to serve.
