How are you my friends, I think everything are ok for you in this pandemic period and spending interesting time with your beloved once in this weekend. I have continuous three holidays since yesterday. So I have many opportunities for enjoy myself and do interesting tasks which I give priority place. Yesterday I did normal activities. Then yesterday evening we decided to prapare various breakfast dish to our family. With my wife's support we could prepare so delicious and Tamil's traditional food since our kitchen. We called it Ulundu Wade. In this post I explain how we prepare.
Ingredients
- 200 grams of undu flour
- 250 grams of wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of yeast
- 1 1/2 cups of chilled water
- Half a tablespoon of salt
- Finely chopped curry leaves, rumpe leaves
- Finely chopped onion
- Finely chopped leeks
- Finely chopped carrots
- Half a bottle of oil
Preparing Methods
- First add undu flour and wheat flour and mix well. Then add the required amount of yeast and salt and mix well. Then add two cups of cold water and mix well to make a dough. Leave the dough to rise for about 4 hours.
- Now put oil in a pan and put it on the stove to heat. When heated, add chopped onion and fry. Then add chopped curry leaves and rumpe leaves and fry.
- Add the chopped leeks and carrot pieces respectively and fry lightly and remove the pan from the oven.
- Add the onion, carrot and leeks to the previously kneaded dough. Then knead the dough well with the above mixture. Then pour a little water on your hands and separate it into small balls from the dough.
- Put a pan of oil on the stove and let it heat up. Take the separated parts into small balls and shape them by hand and make a hole in the middle. Put the parts (as in the photo) in the hot oil and fry over low heat until golden brown.
- Now let it dry and taste the cooked ulundu wade.
