Brief Introduction

Hi Everybody,

I'm Hive account@shawnnft. I would prefer not to repeat an introduction about myself so if you curious to know about where I am from you can check out my first ever restaurant review that covered a steamboat and bbq restaurant. This is my second post in the Foodies Bee Hive community and I will do my best to continually post as long as I go out and eat at restaurants as well as remember to take photos. The restaurant I went to is called Uncle Don's, it's a casual restaurant & bar in Malaysia. They are a franchise so they do have a few locations in Malaysia. I have ate here in the past so this wasn't like a super new experience but I still wanted to write a review on it.

As you can see from the photos, they have a huge menu with lots of different kinds of food. It was a bit hard deciding what to eat with all the choices. As you can see from the receipt, I chose to eat the calamari rings, spaghetti carbonara bacon and a vanilla milk shake. It came out at RM57.85 which is around $13 USD.

Google Review & My Review

As you can see from the google reviews photo, Uncle Don's has been given a 4.1 stars average out of 3360 reviews! For my own personal review, I would like to give them 3.8 stars. The spaghetti carbonara bacon was really delicious. I was disappointed in the calamari rings though. I didn't feel like there was anything special in terms of the taste so I wish I got the wings instead. The service was a bit slow. I feel they were a bit understaffed for the amount of customers inside. They also gave me a root beer float at first which was the wrong drink but they did change it to the vanilla shake after I told them their mistake. I thought the ambience was nice and the place was quite clean. They were definitely prepared for Christmas with all the decorations and they did play Christmas music. In summary, the stars I deducted were because of the calamari rings and the service wasn't as great as it could've been. This is probably a place I would come once a week but one thing's for sure I won't order calamari rings next time.
