Thukpa is a north eastern dish relished with momos. It is preferred during the winters as soup but is actually a meal in itself. One can commonly find this in mountains. For cities, you can find this in tibeten restaurants. Or the best, prepare at home. It is simple and easy to prepare thukpa at home in very less time, let’s see how we make it.
Ingredients
1 cabbage,
2 carrots,
1 capsicum,
1 onion,
1 tomato,
5-6 cloves of garlic,
salt,
black pepper,
soy sauce,
vinegar,
noodles
Method
Step 1: Boil the noodles and keep aside.
Step 2: grind onion, tomato and garlic in a mixer. Add 2 tbsp oil to a pan and cook the mixture for about 2 minutes. Add salt.
Step 3: Add all the finely chopped vegetables to the pan and let them cook. Cover with lid.
Step 4: now add about 2 glasses of water, soy sauce and vinegar and let it boil for 15 minutes on low flame.
Step 5: turn off the flame. In a bowl, add the noodles and pour the hot soup.
Step 6: serve hot with bread sticks.
