I hereby bring to you Omelette garnished with spices. You may be wondering why spices. Yes, I love spicy stuffs.š
INGREDIENTS
- Eggs
- Spices - Fresh Pepper and Tomato
- Groundnut Oil
- Vegetable (Scent leaf)
- Seasoning
- Salt
PROCEDURES...
1)First, get the pepper, tomatoes and vegetable (scent leaf) ready by removing the stalk and rinsing properly. Using a sharp knife I chopped them into fine pieces. I used a knife because a grater was not available and a blender would not give me the desired result.
2)Then, I put some groundnut oil on fire. When the oil was heated enough, the chopped spice were poured in to fry it. I fried it for some minutes enough to at least reduce the intensity, because there was more pepper than tomatoes.
3)Next, the D-ingredient - the eggs. I gently broke the eggs into a small bowl, added the required amount of seasoning and salt and then, whisked the whole mixture thoroughly with a fork (or a whisker).
4)Now, here is the main part of the course. I mentioned earlier about some kind of failure. Actually, it was not entirely one though because before this post anytime I tried omelette I would end up with shredded eggs because the two had very similar steps and just a little difference.
This is the difference, to make an omelette you do not need much oil. I added just little oil to the frying pan. The amount could be imagined to be just enough oil to rub the inside of the pan. You could substitute the groundnut oil with butter. Then, I placed it on very low heat.
5)When the oil gets to the required heat momentum, the whisked egg mixture is whisked again and then poured gently to filled the entire space in the pan. It solidifies gently..and when you see that the layer facing towards you looks almost done, using a flat spoon to avoid breaking the omelette, you flip it to the other side. Breaking the omelette could result in a version of scrambled eggs.
6)Then, I added the earlier fried spices to one side so I can use the remaining side to go over it, covering it up.
7)And there you have your omelette garnished with spices... you can enjoy it as a topping for any other food.
Enjoy!š
