Alrighty, another day, another food post! Still here in Taiwan, we craved some top-notch dim sum. Oddly, unlike the early morning dim sum we're accustomed to (around 5-6 AM, closing by 10-11 AM), here, they usually open around 9-10 AM, which isn't ideal for us. However, we discovered a place open 24/7 and decided to give it a try! It didn't look like the typical spot I'd choose, but this time, my parents were with us on the trip, so off we went.
The place looked quite fancy, unexpected for a 24/7 joint. Also, it was intriguing because I usually associate dim sum with small dishes for a broader selection. Here, they served huge plates with high prices, so we ended up ordering just a few items. Stir-fried vegetables cooked quickly. They were crunchy and tasty, stir-fried noodles not too soft and had a nice flavor from the sauce, grilled chicken and pork, the grill made them taste a little smoky and pair with a little sweet asian sauce, just delish! shrimp dumplings, and the starters/appetizers they initially provided.
The food was very good, but the dishes were bigger than what I expected for dim sum. I liked the food in general though.
Overall, we're happy! At least my dad was! it was nice, but I would prefer a place without air conditioning, offering smaller dishes or baskets, so I could enjoy a variety of 10 or more items at a time.
