Introduction
Hi! here playing Splinterlands everyday!
This is Exploring the Chaos where I take a look on Chaos Legion cards including their subsets such as Riftwatchers and the Reward cards, as they brought new abilities and strategies that changes how the game was played.
The topic of my review for some time now was about the core cards of the Chaos Legion which is the third major card expansion of the game with over 100 cards and so far, I have come to finish with the core cards under the common and rare rarity and have begin with the epic rarity containing 17 cards. The first element that I cover was the Fire Element, followed by Water and for this week, I will be covering for the Earth.
Also in this post are the details on how to get a free weekly SPS delegation. You can read the details below.

Epic Life Cards In Action

Back to Basics | Monsters lose all abilities. |
Briar Patch | All Monsters have the |
Broken Arrows |
This battle has the Briar Patch rule set which deals thorns damage on those with melee attacks while range attack monsters cannot be used due to the Broken Arrows ruleset so it leaves me with magic monsters that will play under the Back to Basics rule set which I preferred when using Temporal Master because its hard to use due to its Recharge ability but could be a really useful card on low mana battles were no abilities can be used for it can deal 2 magic damage and only cost 3 mana to play.
Battle 2: Dax Paragon
| Conditions | Description |
|---|---|
Brawl Silver League | 14 Mana Cap Available Elements: Link: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_7417968b735711d5e93f06f197715878&ref=bltzr-wizard-726 |
Healed Out | All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners. |
What Doesn't Kill You | All Monsters have the |
Evens Stevens | Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles. |
On this battle, only even monsters can be used because of the Evens Stevens ruleset while healing abilities cannot also be used with Healed Out though all monsters gained Enrage ability with What Doesn't Kill You. Dax Paragon not only have the Amplify ability which increased damage from reflected abilities such as Magic Reflect and Thorns, it also has Affliction that when it hit Pelacor Conjurer, it cannot be healed anymore by Venary Crystalsmith.
Battle 3: Prismologist
| Conditions | Description |
|---|---|
Brawl Silver League | 58 Mana Cap Available Elements: Link: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_f1c67dbadcdbafc47010950cc7c1de94&ref=bltzr-wizard-726 |
Reverse Speed | Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. |
Keep Your Distance | Monsters with |
Born Again | All monsters have the |
On this battle, we have Reverse Speed where slow monster gets to attack first with Born Again which gives all monsters the Rebirth ability and Keep Your Distance where melee monsters cannot be used whereas, Prismologist becomes a good card to use since it was quite a slow monster and with its Blast, not only it inflict damage to Mycelic Slipspawn, it also deals damage to Runemancer Florre while at the same time, it reduces the magic damage of all the opponent monsters which causes them to not be able to inflict much damage on my monsters.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, I think that the abilities of Temporal Master does not complement each other cause the Stun might be good but since the Recharge only allows it to attack every next turn, it gives the target the chance to attack during the turn Temporal Master cannot attack. Meanwhile, Prismologist was a great card but its low speed and health has made it more suitable for reverse speed battles as its attacks can be avoided if the target has good speed. The card I think to be the best on this group was Dax Paragon for its low mana cost and it was the only card with Amplify even at Bronze level which could be very effective on Briar Patch, Counterspell and Fire & Regret rulesets.
That was all for this post and see you on the next one!
