Elimination Award (100 ALIVE) will be paid to the best player who didn't qualify to the main phase of the Season. Both Champions League and Consolation Cup eliminations will be taken into account and the Award will go to the player with the highest total score across both Rounds of qualifications.
Season Award (100 ALIVE) will go to the best player eliminated in the first phase of the Season (group phase for Champions League and Rounds of 16 and 8 for Consolation Cup). Since CL participants will have 6 matches and those in CC only four, I will calculate the average score.
Surprise Award (200 ALIVE) will go to the player who becomes the biggest surprise of the season. It will be the player who started from Round 1 of qualifications and reached the furthest stage. If several players achieve the same, total score will be taken into account.

Regulation Prizes (from ) - Season 6
My fundamental idea is that ALL participants are rewarded.
ie. participants of the main phases of both tournaments, therefore 32 players
Obviously the prizes for those eliminated early are significantly smaller than for the Winners. In Season 6 the following prizes will be sponsored by
Champions League
- 4 Players who finish 4th in their groups: 0.5 HBD
- 4 Players who finish 3rd in their groups: 0 HBD
-- they are transferred to Consolation Cup and will get their prize there - 8 (ALL) quarter-finalists: 2 HBD
Sum: 4 * 0.5 + 8 * 2 = 18 HBD
Consolation Cup
- 8 players eliminated in Round of 16: 0.25 HBD
- 4 players eliminated in Round of 8: 0.5 HBD
- 8 (ALL) quarter-finalists: 1 HBD
Sum: 8 * 0.25 + 4 * 0.5 + 8 * 1 = 12 HBD

Future Seasons - community prize pool
Starting with Season 7 (the one after the next), regulation prizes paid in HBD will come from the community owner account (
To be precise, 80% of HBD collected by the community owner (
because the account is new, HBD from the current Season (5) will be added to the above mentioned pool. I will use Savings to increase the pool a bit.

Starting with Season 6, the community owner (
- Champions League group phase and Consolation Cup Rounds of 16 and of 8: 25% of HP available per vote
- Quarterfinals (both tournaments): 50% of HP available per vote
- Semi- and Finals (both tournaments): 100% of HP available per vote
This will help to build the community owner HP (from curation rewards) so that with each season the votes will carry more weight. And obviously it is a way of paying you back from the community HP.

Tipping with ALIVE

I can do only 20 tips per day. In the initial phase there will be days when all 32 players have their Match Days. On those days I will start tipping from Champions League (i.e all players with over 10k step count will get a tip) and then use the remaining tips for the best Consolation Cup players, starting with the highest step count (so some may not get the tip, unfortunately).

Rationale for the changes
You have noticed that I (i.e
- My awards to the players are pretty generous but I have noticed that they are financed from my
blogging activity. In the long run, I can't go like this. I want to have clarity between the two sides of my HIVE presence
- I want to build a strong #MAcFiT community and I need financial transparency for that
