A special banana bonsai?
Glimpse of the valley from the restaurant's balcony
Carbonara
All mixed up
We ran to the parking lot before the rain poured once more. We were feeling famished and as we traversed through the wet road, we were thinking about where to have our fill. Our stomachs growled like thunders roaring in the midst of rain. Nah! I was just exaggerating. But yes, we were very hungry!
Too bad of a timing for our adventure but we were still thankful to have enjoyed half of the day. And so we just drove along that route on the lookout for signs of restaurants. Although we knew there were quite a lot of them ahead and we just had to pick which one to enter.
10 minutes later, we found one with a parking spot right in front of the food place's door. The rain was hard and fortunately, there was an attendant waiting by with an umbrella so we were able to get out of the car without getting wet. Bless him, I say!
My first impression of the place is okay. Service? Well, while we got seated, no one brought us the menu so I literally had to go to the counter to get one. And guess what I discovered? The servers were chitchatting, lol! I mean, didn't you see us? We walked past them on our way in!
Anyway, we didn't complain. We don't like to do that when we are hungry or we'd get indigestion, lol! So we just ordered what we knew were easy and quick to get served. A serving of Carbonara and a hot sizzling plate of sisig - the husband's favorite.
We are light eaters, not so!
But yeah, we shared this food. There was rice of course! The sisig was too spicy for me so I munched more on the Carbonara.
Initially, we thought about taking one of the tables by the balcony and enjoying the view but the rain was strong and the tables were getting wet. Plus it was a bit cold out there so we took some shots and walked back in, closing the sliding doors behind us. We thought the spot would be great when it's sunny. One can view most of the La Trinidad Valley from there.
We stayed a little longer there waiting for the rain to subside then we drove down and proceeded to my sister's place for coffee and chitchats.
And oh! I forgot what the restaurant's name was, lol! It was a huge place, three floors. We stayed on the main floor. I think they also have function halls. We didn't really bother to check, hehe!
Would we go there next time? Probably. Although we are not really looking forward to a second round there.
Anyhow, hope your day is going well. It's Friday here. A very quiet day which is nice. Maybe my lil guy and I will go out for a walk later in the day. The weather is pretty nice - cooling and comfy. Hope the rain won't come early.
