Today I want to share a Central Asian rice dish recipe. People form Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan make it very frequently. Also people from Russian speaking countries know how to cook it as well.
Ingridients
1-2lb beef/lamb (depends of how much meat you want)
1 big onion
2 medium carrots
3-4 garlics
2.5 cups of rice
Salt
Cumin (if you don’t like it’s optional)
Water depending on what kind of rice you have (according the instructions on the package). I used round rice for Sushi.

First you need to fry meet in good amount of vegetable oil.
Chop up onion and add to meat when it’s brown. After 10 minutes add some chopped carrots. Cook for 30 minutes.
While meat is cooking, wash your rice until water from it looks clear. We do it so that rice doesn’t become too sticky.
Put it on top of meat. Insert inside of rice peeled and washed garlic. Add boiled water and wait until it boils. After that cover with lid and time 20 minutes. After it’s done, let it sit for another 10 minutes and serve with some herbs, or fresh veggie salad.
I want to warn that this is my way of making plov. Uzbek plov is the most tasty and original one, all the other kinds of plov are good but different. Mine is not original because in the original recipe people use lamb, and usually they cook it outside on the fire (that l of smoke makes it so good), and amount of carrots, and onions I think is the same as meat.
