French fries, every kid's favorite!
Not only kids, but I also guess we all love french fries. In this lockdown, it became difficult to go to 'restaurant made' french fries. The frozen one is available in super shops though. But I sometimes make it at home and preserve it for months. It's very easy and tastes similar as any restaurant's fries.
Let's see how I made it!
What we need?
- Potatoes, obviously ;)
- Salt
- seasoning salt
- Vegetable oil
That's it.
How to prepare and preserve?
Peal, slice and wash the potatoes. Wash until the water becomes clear to get rid of the starch. Let it sit on the 'ice cold' water for half an hour.
Dry it and get rid of all the wetness.
Fry it for just a minute in the oil.
It's ready to preserve in the freezer. We have to fry it again when we want to eat it. If you want to eat it instantly then you have to boil the potatoes. Put a pinch of salt while boiling and fry it in oil.
It's frozen.
Fry it in medium heat.
I have used instant seasoning salt.
And it's ready to serve.
Just perfect!
Though it takes some time to prepare and preserve it but the time worth it. Because you have to just get it from the freezer and it's ready to go on the hot oil. It takes only five minutes to be done. I hope this simple recipe will help you!
