Hello Hive!
After launching our very first Coffee Lovers Competition, we received some incredible entries from members of our community, which made it a tough decision. After all, who doesn't love drinking coffee, sharing their experiences, and presenting lovely photos to show it?
However, this competition would not have been possible without our kind sponsor, and community member , so we'd like to thank him for his donation of prizes for our winners.
Also, we would like to thank all subscribers and active members of the community for your dedication and continuous contributions. It's appreciated and welcomed with a smile always!
"My Favourite Coffee Drink
No guessing when you see my collection of pics taken over the last couple of years; I have to take a pic if it's beautifully made before destroying it!
The answer of course is a Cappuccino - I just love that shot of espresso, a dash of hot milk, topped with a rich and creamy dense foam in the most stunning designs. The First Time I fell in love with Coffee
As a child, I first fell in love with the aroma coming from the coffee beans being roasted by my Oupa (Grandpa); he did this by patiently stirring those raw coffee beans in a black pan on an old coal stove; then he would grind it in an old coffee grinder by hand.
I loved the smell, but when I first tasted it, must admit it was way too strong for a wee little gal like me as Oupa used to drink it black and with no sugar!
Then he poured me a cup, filled it with hot milk and dark brown sugar, served it with a rusk, a typical South African kind of Biscotti that one dunks in the coffee to soften it a little and I was hooked!" -
"Now the first time I fell in love with coffee was when Dad had bought me my first drink from Starbucks and manh it was one gorgeous looking drink. Like I was a child back then and I haven't seen anything that beautiful ever and I instantly fell in love with it, months passed and a 100 caffeinated drinks later I fell in love.
Just to satisfy my needs of making a perfect cup of Coffee I'll be doing a basic barista certification course in Bangalore once this damn lockdown gets over. Once I'm well versed with that in the years to come I'll be starting my very own coffee shop with my Dad." -
"As a youngster, I can remember my parents only drinking tea. Coffee was far too expensive and deemed a bit of a luxury. At some point, my coffee drinking cousin came to live with us for a year. As she paid board, my mum bought her coffee with the money. Of course, I tried some and my love affair with coffee began! I can't stand tea now. My favourite coffee at the time was a gingerbread latte with cream. I loved it but so did my waistline! I've stopped drinking milk now, but still enjoy an Americano with no milk. I think you can taste the coffee more." -

A big shout out and thank you to all other participants in this competition. We acknowledge and appreciate all your efforts.
