I found the hive learners community in my early days in hive. I was just barely 4 months old in HIVE when I came across the newbies' initiative in collaboration with the hive learners community. It was a great combo that turned everything around for my good in this blockchain. The community has been like a home for me in the past year. The amazing community team leaders, whose creativity on how to grow this community never runs dry, There are always new ideas on how to make the community better, and the best part is that they are always open to suggestions.

The Saturday hangouts have been amazing, and if I have missed any Saturday since the hangout started, maybe just 1 to 5 in the past year. The Monday Heart to Heart live session was also initiated by this community, and I have been doing my best to participate actively. I have tried to maintain a decent level of engagement with the community on every side as a way to support her growth.
With the weekly featured blog contest, my blogging skills have taken a better shape. The topics on a weekly basis have a way of making my mind travel back to amazing memories that ordinarily my mind may not cross there. It's been amazing with this initiative, and I was wowed when I took my time this morning to count the number of entries I have made so far since the weekly featured contest in HL began. To my greatest chargrin, I counted 151 entries including some creative Sunday post I have made in the community aside my personal blogs in the community once in a while. Getting this figure was made easier using this Link. Since the first day the contest started, I have been participating every week, not on every edition, but on most of the topics because I always found them relatable and interesting to share my thoughts on.
So here we go: my five favorite entries so far....
My first favourite..
We need each other to thrive and be successful..
This was a friendship post for "HL-W13E2*. What motivated me to participate in this contest was that I have realized that with great friends around one, he or she will be getting closer to success, and being that I already had amazing friends in the blockchain then who have supported my growth in different ways, I participated in the contest in order to share my practical experience and hopefully, my reader can find the need to build healthy relationships in the blockchain for a better growth.
My second favourite..
Voluntary Services
This was a contest for HL-W26E2, where we were asked to write about volunteering. What motivated me to make an entry on this topic was because I had some practical experience with volunteering services in the past, which had a positive impact on my life. I thought of sharing the need to extend helping hands where we can and also to let people know that one can embark on this program even without any money; just your good heart and your skill can put smiles on people's faces. You can click the link to read in detail about my experience with voluntary Services.
My third favourite..
Things I will leave behind for my next generation
This contest was for HL-W24E2, where we were to discuss our plans for the next generation. You see, one thing I have experienced since I started writing is that whatever I write, I have this consciousness to abide by it. It serves as a reminder to my gentle and innermost spirit and this was another thing that motivated me to write on this topic aside sharing plans and work in progress to my readers on what and what I plan to leave for my next generation probably they can derive inspiration from me. I shared three sensitive points in this topic, and they have been a yardstick as I plan for the good of my next generation.
My fourth favourite..
Success is for those who persevere
This topic was for HL-W12E2, where we were given the opportunity to share a success story. I had a great motivation to participate in this topic as I had a life-touching practical experience about my uncle, whose determination, honesty, integrity, and perseverance made him achieve success at last even when it looked impossible at the early stage of his business life. His success at last was my driving force to share with my readers perhaps they could pick a life lesson.
My fifth favourite..
A traditional wedding ceremony
The image is mine
This topic was for HL-W12E2. It was all about people's traditional weddings pertaining to our different tribes. My motivation was to take pride in my culture and share with other tribes and people all over the world how traditional wedding ceremonies are being done in Igbo culture, using myself as a practical experience. One thing globalization has brought is learning about the cultures of other countries, which is my motivation to share.
These are my five favorite entries submitted to the Hive Learners community in the past year. I also stated my motivation to participate in each of the entries. I have shown my presence consistently in this community, and it has aided in my growth so far.
Long live the HL community!
