Hi friends, our adventures in the outskirts of the city continue and since the heat subsided this weekend, we decided to have a little bbq with friends in the evening.
Especially - my friends from Moscow Underdog Bar sent a couple of their novelties - Asian Tiger Balm sauces in Thai style and a very unusual Japan BBQ sauce with tomatoes and yuzu juice, popular in Southeast Asia.
This time we went to the southern suburbs, to the birch groves. We found a very comfortable clearing, a two-minute walk from the road, and got busy cooking. The girls chopped vegetables, and I got busy with the barbecue and sausages. As it was in the evening it was too lazy to bother with meat and it wasn't too hard to cook sausages on coals.
Since the Japanese sauce had soy sauce as a base, I decided to cook as usual - I heated the sausages a little on the grill, poured the sauce, and carefully smeared it on the sausages with a cooking brush. The crust is very pleasant to the taste, but you need to turn the grill more often, so that it does not burn.
Despite the fact that it was rather overcast, it was very warm outside, and the lack of wind was even more pleasant, because the wind when cooking on coals is not always a plus and blows the coals, causing a strong flame :)
Within ten minutes everything was ready and served on very tasty oatmeal tortillas. Since I like it spicy, I "enhanced" my portion with Tiger Balm, which includes raspberries, galangal and one of the searing Habanero varieties. It turned out quite tasty, and it was a dinner that everyone in attendance really enjoyed.
I cannot help but add - given the fact that many companies are rapidly leaving Russia, in our stores began to appear Chinese products and one of the first was a light Yichang rice beer, which replaced the usual German lager on the shelves. The beer is quite simple and very light - only 3.8%, but it drinks very well and goes well with spicy food. In addition to the cost of regular German beer, this Chinese beverage is sold in heavy bottles of 0.62 liters, which can also be considered a plus. A couple of bottles at dinner and life doesn't seem so hard.
I forgot to take a picture of it outdoors, but there was another bottle at home :)
So that was Monday and I think we had a great time and recharged our emotions for the work week.
