Vitamin Sea is something that everyone needs in their lives no matter we are talking about mountain lovers or beach lovers. So while the question "Mountains or beach?" will always exist, so the longing for the sea will always be there.
And... as everything has a beginning, so it has an ending too.
After delighting our eyes with plenty of spectacular locations during our 12 hours long boat ride, it was time to slowly approach the very final stop of our journey before heading back to the dock where the adventure began and, of course, return to the same dusty and old hotel.
But this time, with plenty of memories captured both with our hearts and phones, which I have no doubt they will last forever.
Actually, heading to Sulina Beach was never on our list as some of you might remember from my previous posts because we were more interested in reaching a shipwreck and admire it closely before being forever gone in The Black Sea rather than going on the beach.
Though, considering all the different types of guys being aboard and that none of them was too interested in this activity but preferred to spend 45 minutes on the beach, our guide decided to go with this destination rather than taking us to the shipwreck while the others could enjoy getting the most desired tan.
Anyway, as I always try my best to pick up only the best parts of everything, I think it was still a win situation considering that I never reached this beach before and that my boyfriend never saw the sea before.
It's true that before reaching Tulcea from where our boat ride began, we did have a stop in Constanta where we've seen The Black Sea, but the time wasn't in our favor so we had to postpone the moment when we will let the waves touch our skin. So there was no better moment than this one. After all, it would be ridiculous to spend half a day on a boat and don't touch the water, isn't it?

Just like some kids, we tried this experience by first touching the waves with our hands to see how cold the water is, then taking off our shoes and started walking around letting the waves move our bodies as part of a specific dance.
Even though for me it wasn't the first time getting in The Black Sea it still was a while since I last had this experience so the smiles couldn't be missing even if I am, and will always be, a mountain lover. But I guess everyone shares the same excitement for anything you meet again after a while, so the Vitamin Sea was very much awaited by both of us. 💙

Anyway, a thing that perhaps no one on the chain knows about me, is that I have motion sickness. The place where it bothers me the most is while playing because it makes me unable to play a lot of games because I get dizzy in less than a minute.
However, while I had no problem being on the boat and seeing the water surrounding us, I did feel like getting dizzy while staying in the water and watching the waves surround my feet, this action making me rather sit on the sand and admire the surroundings while letting my boyfriend have his first bath in The Black Sea. Hence why, you will only see pictures of him taking the best of those 45 minutes spent on Sulina Beach.
Happy or not, I didn't take this thing as an inconvenience but actually enjoyed some time away from the crowd which was barely missing during those 12 hours spent with the rest of the group both on the boat and while exploring other sightseeing attractions.
It was both funny and emotional how suddenly everything was capturing my attention and felt more interesting than sticking with the group that said so firmly they want to go to the beach rather than to the shipwreck but which, after just 10-15 minutes they returned to the boat waiting for us to come back and head to the dock sooner than planned.
Our win, their loss I'd say.
Especially since we are talking about a fairly wild beach that is long enough to find your very own spot without being bothered by the others. It was also my first time seeing seagulls in a while since they are not common in the place I'm currently living for already a few years now. They also reminded me about the many spontaneous trips I was taking to the sea during my college years which was a normal habit being just 2 hours away from The Black Sea.
So with the wind in our hair, the sound created by the waves which were never missing but actually accompanied perfectly by the seagulls surrounding us, we managed to spend some valuable time on Sulina Beach which honestly I had no clue it was so beautiful because the beaches that are promoted the most, are always the crowded ones.

Anyway, while there is no doubt you can enjoy plenty of activities on the beach whether we are talking about the common bath in The Black Sea, collecting seashells or simply getting a tan or playing volleyball, there are some other interesting aspects too.
For example, that wilderness is just one step away from the beach shore, and the sand you will get to feel under your feet is the finest sand you will ever find in Romania. Even the water is a lot cleaner than what you will find on most of the beaches of the country because its depth is pretty small on a long distance and there is no seaweed covering the shore or your body once you get out of the water.

But the thing that I call a miracle and definitely something that you won't get to see on any other beach, is that Sulina Beach represents one of the few points from where you can notice the Danube Delta flowing into the sea and become one and the same forever.
In case you are wondering "Ok cool, and how can I see that?", well, Danube Delta has a much greener color than the sea which is crystal blue and that can be noticed in the distance. If you have a drone and dare to fly it above you, of course, that can be a lot easier to notice, but it's also something possible even just from the shore if you get to enjoy nice weather as we did.

As beautiful as it sounds, Sulina Beach has its sad parts too, because it represents one of the very few places in town where people can still work and make a living from, without being needed to fish all day long and then try to sell their captures. And considering that no one is interested in visiting places like this other than in the summer, it's a fairly short job activity that very few get to take advantage of.
So as much I love solitude places that are as little as possible touched by humans, I do feel like this beach should be promoted more so more people show interest in discovering it and automatically determine more jobs to be available for the locals.

Anyway, as time always flies and you barely manage to keep up with how fast a day passes, as quick our 45 minutes available time to spend on the beach was gone in a blink. So we slowly returned to the place where the boat was parked and the other people part of the group were waiting for us, then hit the road water back to the hotel.
The way back home passed a lot faster than what we had on the way to the sightseeing attractions just because we were literally running away from the rain that was chasing us and which sooner or later started dropping its rain over us too. So we had to get inside the boat and cover its sides with some panels that would keep us safe from the storm that was announced through phone alerts in the whole county.

Happily, I managed to capture two more huge ships before getting inside the boat which proved to us again how tiny we are in front of technology and that water is the definition of infinity and no matter how much you know about it, the underwater world is such a vast and big place that no one will ever be able to explore entirely.
By the time we arrived at the dock, the storm was already gone and we still managed to get caressed by the sun rays one more time before the night was coming over, so I can easily call it a full day, with lots of memories, experiences, and emotions that will make my heart beat faster whenever I think about it again.
Sulina Beach is 2 km away from the city with the same name and it can be accessed either by walking 20-30 minutes on to the beach or taking a car ride towards it. However, while the beach can be reached through more methods, making your way to Salina city can be possible only on the water level coming either on the Danube Delta or The Black Sea because there is no road infrastructure connecting this one with the rest of the cities from Romania.
