キルナに行きたかった理由
Why I wanted to go to Kiruna
1. I want to see how the Sami live.
2. I want to visit the Ice Hotel. 🥶😁
3. I want to ride a dog sled. 🐕
4. I want to see the Northern Lights if possible.🔦
先のブログでも書いたのですが、いくつかの理由があり、キルナへ旅行へ行くことになりました。
１．サーミの生活を見てみたい。
２．アイスホテルに行ってみたい。
３．犬ぞりに乗ってみたい。
４．できれば、オーロラを見てみたい。

Ice Hotel Continued
I wanted to visit the Ice Hotel when I came to Kiruna. It was very impressive. It was quite cold outside the hotel, -20 degrees Celsius, but inside the hotel, I think it was roughly -2 degrees Celsius. As the name suggests, the hotel itself is made of ice, so the temperature in the hotel has to be kept below freezing or it will melt. There was no heating in the hotel, but the warm coats and gloves provided by the hotel were quite helpful.
Kirunaに来たからには、ぜひ訪れたかったIce HOTEL. やっぱりとても見ごたえがありました。ホテルの外は－２０度とかなり寒かったのですが、ホテルの中は大体、－２度ぐらいだったと思います。 ホテル自体がその名の通り、氷でできているため常にホテルは氷点下を維持しないと溶けてしまうので、ホテル内は暖房などはなかったのですがホテルが提供してくれるあったかいコートや手袋はかなり助かりました。
Each room is designed Scandinavian artists, and the name of the artist is written at the entrance of the room. The website also introduces the artists and their episodes when they designed the rooms. There was also an artist's booth in the hotel, where they explained how they designed this room.
各部屋は北欧のアーティストを中心に部屋がデザインされ、部屋の入り口にはアーティストの名前が書かれています。 ホームページではアーティストの紹介や、部屋をデザインしたときのエピソードなども紹介されています。ホテル内にもアーティストの紹介コーナーがあって、そこでこの部屋をデザインしたときの説明がありました。
I had imagined that the hotel would be popular, but to be honest, it was more popular than I had imagined, with tourists from all over the world. There were only a few Swedish tourists, and many European tourists, mainly from Germany, Italy and France, but also many tourists from Asia. Since I visited the Corona pandemic, I think the number of tourists was relatively small, but even so, the hotel was fully booked. You can tour the hotel, but if you want to actually stay in a hotel room, you need to make a reservation far in advance.
ホテルは人気はあるとは想像していたのですが、正直、わたしが想像した以上に人気があって世界中からの観光客がいました。 スウェーデン人観光客は少ないぐらいで、ドイツ、イタリア、フランスなどを欧州人を中心に、アジアからの観光客もたくさんいました。 わたしが訪れたのはコロナ禍だったので、観光客は比較的に少ないほうだったと思うのですが、それでもホテルは満室でした。 ホテル内は見学が可能なのですが、もし実際にホテルの部屋に滞在したい場合はかなり前から事前に予約を入れる必要があります。(自分が気になる部屋を事前に選択できます）

Inside the ICE Hotel, there was a bar called ICE BAR. Literally, it was a bar made of ice, and I had a lot of fun there. We drank beer in cups made of ice. It had been about an hour since we entered the hotel, but it was great to have a break. We were touring the hotel without renting the coats provided by the hotel, but if you are staying for more than an hour, I would recommend renting a coat. We went to the ICE BAR after about an hour had passed, but at this point I was so cold that it was already hard for me to drink a cold beer, so I didn't. LOL!
ICE HOTELの中には、ICE BARというBarがありました。 文字通り、氷でできたBarでかなり楽しい思い出が出来ました。 ビールを氷でできたカップに入れて飲みました。 ホテルに入って、１時間ぐらい経っていたのですが少し休憩出来てとても良かったです。私たちはホテルが提供しているコートを借りずホテルを見学していたのですが、１時間以上滞在する場合はコートを借りるのをお勧めします。 ICE BARでは大体、１時間ぐらいが経過してから行ったのですが、この時点でわたしはかなり体が冷えていて、冷たいビールを飲むのが既につらく、わたしは飲みませんでした。
ちょっとアドバイス
A little advice
It's very cold, as it should be. I've never experienced staying in sub-zero temperatures for a long period of time, so it was quite difficult for me. My fingertips, in particular, became so cold that I started to lose feeling little by little, and I became a little worried. We didn't bring any warm drinks with us and just went sightseeing, but now that I think about it, it would have been better if we had brought warm drinks in Thermo water bottles.
In Europe, when it gets cold, people often drink shots with high alcohol content to warm themselves up, but if you don't like alcohol, you can carry warm coffee with you. If you don't like alcohol, it is a good idea to carry some warm coffee with you (I should have done it, really!). Some people were taking their children sightseeing, but I recommend that you prepare well before you go.
Nevertheless, I was able to make some really good memories. Thinking that it might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it was also a good experience now that my fingertips became cold and I lost all sensation. I thought it would not be a bad idea to wear warm clothes, wrap myself in moose fur, and spend the night in a beautifully designed hotel.
当たり前と言えば、当たり前なのですがとても寒いです。 わたしは氷点下で長期滞在する経験などしたことがないため、かなりつらかったです。 特に、指先が少しづつ感覚がなくなってくるほど冷たくなっていき、すこし心配になりました。 わたし達は暖かい飲み物などを携帯せず、ただ観光しただけだったのですが今思えば温かい飲み物などをサーモ水筒などに入れて携帯するとよかったなと思いました。
欧州では寒くなったらアルコール度数の高いショットを飲んで、体を温めることをよくするようですが、アルコールが苦手な方は暖かいコーヒーなどを携帯するといいと思います。 子供さんを連れて観光されていた方もいましたが、しっかり準備してから行くことをお勧めします。
それでも、本当によい思い出を作ることが出来ました。 一生に一回の経験かもしれないと思うと、指先が冷たくなり感覚がなくなってきたのも今思えばよい経験です。 防寒具をしっかり着て、ヘラジカの毛皮にくるまれて綺麗なデザインホテルで一夜を過ごすのも悪くないなぁと思いました。🤩🤩👏👏
