Yesterday I bought quite a lot of oranges at the market, oranges are now in season and the price has dropped from the usual price. I also bought 2 kg of oranges, I really like this fruit. I usually eat this fruit directly or make juice. Well yesterday when I was looking at social media I found a recipe for processed bread from oranges. I was very curious and wanted to try making it. They make non-vegan bread, again I want to replace all the ingredients without using animal ingredients. The initiative to experiment with making bread without eggs without milk so that it will keep it soft. I was hesitant at first, but I was sure it would be a beautiful and delicious orange bread.
Soft Oranges Breads
Orange Fresh Bread is processed fresh bread that adds orange juice as the main ingredient of the bread. This aims to make the bread have a thick orange aroma with a distinctive yellow color from oranges. So for those of you who like this one buaah must really like it. Moreover, the usual bread you always need at home both as breakfast and as a delicious dish to make any preparations from it!.
Ingredients Used
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon fermipan
120 ml orange juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon salt
Preparation Procedure
First, I prepare the orange juice first, as usual the oranges I use here are regular oranges with a standard size. Then I split the orange into two parts.
Then squeeze the orange with a manual tool, if you have a juicer machine it would be better to use the tool. Now after the water is collected, so that the orange pulp is not carried away I filter the orange again.
Then warm the orange juice, then add two spoons of sugar stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Then add fermipan then stir until evenly distributed and cover the biang water for 10 minutes so that it expands perfectly.
Next, wail waiting for the fermipan to rise, add flour in a large container then mix with cornstarch and stir until evenly distributed.
Add salt and stir until evenly distributed, now if the orange juice that was made earlier has expanded, stir again until evenly distributed.
Then add to the flour that has been prepared, add slowly while stirring with a spoon until evenly distributed.
Then, knead the dough until it is well mixed, then add margarine and I also gave a little yellow coloring because the orange color did not come out too much from the dough. Then mix again and knead the dough until smooth.
Rest the dough and cover for up to 20 minutes let it rise 2 times.
After rising put the dough on the work table, then flatten the dough, remove the air in the dough.
Lock or press all the edges of the dough, then roll the dough lengthwise. Now don't forget to prepare a long baking sheet that has been greased with margarine. If you have a special bread pan, it is also very okay.
If you have rested ready the dough back in the pan, cover the dough with a cloth napkin. Well here I rest for app
roximately 2 hours.
After resting for 2 hours the dough has risen perfectly then brush the surface of the dough with margarine.
Then I oven at 150 degrees Celsius for approximately 60 minutes. Wait until it cools down and then cut the dough into several pieces of white bread pieces.
Result
Yeay, tara!!! The orange bread is ready to be served. Serve the bread with the dragon fruit peel jam in my previous post. Just look at the beautiful color, I'm so happy that the bread is perfectly fluffy. I've made banana bread before but it didn't rise like this. And today I got a suprise from this orange bread. It rose perfectly and the texture was very soft like the bread I bought at the supermarket.
The aroma of orange is very distinctive, even the most I like the color is really beautiful. The combination of the bread with yesterday's dragon fruit peel jam really added a great sensation. The sweetness went perfectly with the bread.
Perfect for breakfast in the morning, I store the bread in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge. Because the yield was so much and I couldn't possibly eat it all in one day. I get about 10 slices of bread and this is enough for the next few days. In fact, yesterday I brought home some of the bread to my mom's house. And she said it was very good, the bread was soft and tender and not hard at all.
