Yesterday we made green banana ice, and today I'm going to show you how to make green banana spring rolls. This dish is a fried snack filled with banana. It's called green banana because the bananas are mixed with pandan paste, giving them a bright green color, just like the green banana ice cream we made in the previous recipe.
Green banana spring rolls are a snack made from steamed bananas that are mashed and colored green. What makes them unique is that the green bananas are wrapped in spring roll wrappers and then fried until crispy. Everything is perfect, and the steps to make them are quite simple, so anyone will surely love them. Curious about the preparation steps? Let's take a look at them step by step.
Ingredients
5 tablespoons of wheat flour
Spring roll wrappers, as needed
Chocolate bars, as needed
¼ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pandan paste
Preparation Process
Steam the bananas until cooked, about 5 to 10 minutes, until they are completely cooked through.
Then prepare the chocolate topping by cutting it into small pieces according to your preference.
Once the bananas are cooked, mash or blend them using a chopper. I do it manually.
Then add the flour and salt and mix until evenly blended.
Prepare a sheet of spring roll wrapper, then add the banana and chocolate, roll it up, and seal both sides.
Fry in hot oil over low heat until golden brown.
Result
The result is beautiful, even though the shape isn't quite perfect yet, but I really like the texture. Crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside, I think this is a truly unique idea for spring rolls. Usually I make them with whole bananas, but this time I made them with green banana dough, which I think is completely different. The result is excellent; my husband loves it, especially with the melted chocolate he adores. When he bites into it, he finds it absolutely delicious.
Well, for those of you who want a simple snack to enjoy with tea at home with your husband, I think this will be an interesting idea. The process of making it is very easy with ingredients that are so easy to find. And the simplest part is that it can be prepared very quickly. I'm sure your family will love it. Good luck trying the recipe!
