Hi! here playing Splinterlands everyday!
This is Exploring the Chaos where I take a look on Chaos Legion cards including their subsets such as Riftwatchers and the Reward cards, as they brought new abilities and strategies that changes how the game was played.
For the past weeks, I've been making card reviews about the Core Common cards of the Chaos Legion Set on how they are used in play and which of them are my favorite and has great utility when playing. Now I will proceed with reviewing the Core Rare cards that belongs to the Chaos Legion starting with the Fire Element.

- Scavo Firebolt is a 4-mana range monster that only have one ability which is the Knockout and will take at least level 6 to acquire but what this ability allows is to deal 2x damage on any opponent that has afflicted with Stun.

Molten Ash Golem possesses the Close Range ability at level 1 which allows it to be able to attack even at the first position.
It also got the Weaken which will reduce the health of all opponent monsters as long as it remains in battle.
At level 10, Molten Ash Golem has the Demoralize ability that reduce the melee attack of all monsters which will take effect as long as this card remains in play.

Tenyii Striker is a melee monster with the Sneak ability starting at level 1 that allows it to attack back line monsters.
Dodge will help Tenyii Striker to be able to evade melee and range attack with an additional 25% evasion chance.
Once an attack was missed, a level 10 Tenyii Striker will deal 2 damage to the attacker due to the effect of Backfire ability.

- Djinn Inferni was also another monster with only Deathblow ability and can only gained at level 6 but this ability can deal 2x damage to a target if its the only monster left on the opponent's side.

- Tarsa is a rare Chaos Legion summoner which does not have any abilities that can grant but gives +1 melee and health on all ally monsters.
Common Fire Cards In Action 
Battle 1: Scavo Firebolt and Molten Ash Golem

As we have an Explosive Weaponry rule set, I prioritized the speed of my monsters so I'll go with Conqueror Jacek that gives +2 speed on all monsters as well as the Scatershot ability that makes the attacks random and has chosen both Molten Ash Golem and Scavo Firebolt among my units as both of them have the even mana cost. Molten Ash Golem has the ability to attack at the 1st position while reducing the health and melee attack of the opponent. Not only that, it was also able to inflict damage among opponent monsters and eventually defeat Magi of Chaos.
As for Scavo Firebolt, despite being only a rare card, It poses good speed and range damage that makes it one of the card that could attack first and was able to deal significant damage against the opponent. it was also the last card that was able to attack and ends the battle in my favor.

On this battle, although summoner abilities and stat buffs were granted, I still used the rare Fire summoner Tarsa which under normal circumstances will give an additional health and melee damage but using it has allowed me to be able to use a fire element team including Tenyii Striker which has the Sneak that allows melee monsters to attack backline opponents and because of this, I was able to avoid attacking the opponent tank, Cursed Windeku that will cost 2 damage because of Thorns and this has also allowed for Tenyii Striker to eventually sweep all all of his monsters with the exception of Scavo Hireling.

For this battle, since there is a Fog of War ruleset, melee monsters cannot be used in battle and with Broken Arrows, we also can't use range monsters so the majority of the cards that will be used are magic and this is where Djinn Apprentice was used where their magic has target random opponents due to the Scattershot ability from the summoner and the +2 speed which allows them to be able to attack first. At the end of the match, it was Djinn Inferni that was able to land the final attack against the last remaining monster of the opponent.
Final Thoughts
For the Rare Fire cards of the Chaos Legion, I have some criticism for making Tarsa as Plado Emberstorm without the + speed when it was originally have the + speed and + damage buffs before it was released as I think that it would make it on equal terms with Kelya and that despite being rare cards, Scavo Firebold and Djinn Inferni only has one ability and was not even useful most of the time. At the same time, what I really enjoyed using Tenyii Striker because of its excellent attack damage and speed that not only allowed it to dodge the opponent but also deal damage to them if the opponent missed and with the ability to attack backline monsters which are usually the most vulnerable or the importance of Molten Ash Golem on Going the Distance rule set given that it has the Close Range ability together with Weaken and Demoralize.
