Today, thanks to a prolific artist, I'm able to do a post on stickers done by one and the same artist, Astro. Quite often, new stickers appear on street furniture, especially in the Plateau. There was the series on monsters with hand spray Sticker Art #061 or with the letters of his name Sticker Art #049. Today, it's all about little monsters and a series of collages made at the very beginning of this winter.
Aujourd'hui, grâce à un artiste prolifique, je peux faire un post sur les autocollants réalisés par un seul et même artiste, Astro. Assez souvent de nouveaux autocollants apparaissent sur le mobilier urbain à Montréal surtout au Plateau. Il y a eu la série sur avec les monstres avec spray à la main Sticker Art #061 ou alors avec les lettres de son nom Sticker Art #049. Aujourd'hui, il s'agit de petits monstres et d'une série de collages réalisés au tout début de cet hiver.

Astro
Just as a reminder, as this isn't the first post about him, Astro is a Montreal-based illustrator and, above all, creator of comic strip characters. He started graffiti in 1994, gradually perfecting his distinctive and very personal style, with a world full of friendly monsters. He has also created some murals, including this tribute to Scan : CCC's Street Art Contest #173.
Juste pour rappel car ce n'est pas le premier post à son sujet, Astro est un artiste illustrateur et surtout créateur de personnages de bande dessinée basé à Montréal. Il a commencé le graffiti en 1994, perfectionnant peu à peu son style caractéristique et très personnel avec un monde rempli de monstres plutôt sympathiques. Il a réalisé quelques murales aussi dont cet hommage à Scan : CCC's Street Art Contest #173.
I don't know where Astro gets his stickers made. They stay stuck on for a very long time, even after winter: most of them are still there, undamaged, as if they'd just been stuck on.
Je ne sais pas où Astro fait faire ses autocollants. Ils restent collés très longtemps, même après l'hiver : la plupart d'entre eux sont encore là, même pas abîmés comme s'ils venaient d'être collés.
Just before the start of winter, Astro pasted this series of collages all over the neighborhood. I think there are three designs: 100% Fresh, Attention Garçon (Watch out Boy), and this baby head eating the letters ASTRO 🔽.
Juste avant le début de l'hiver, Astro a collé cette série de collages un peu partout dans le quartier. Je pense qu'il y a trois modèles : 100% frais, Attention Garçon, et cette tête de bébé mangeant les lettres ASTRO 🔽.
And here's the “Attention Garçon” version and "100% Frais". The collages are also very hard-wearing; they made it through the winter without a hitch. Are you more sticker or paste-up ?
