Good evening! I may be behind but at least I'm catching up with the blogging challenge! Lol. The blogging challenge is created by and you are free to participate if you wish! Let's Do A 30-Day Blogging Challenge!!!.
The eighth blogging challenge is about three places you'd like to visit. To be honest, I am not a traveler nor my family is, and I wouldn't go traveling just to have something to post on Facebook, for example. Lol. But of course, I am not a complete homebody either, there are places I'd like to visit too someday, especially with my family.
STRAYKAT'S DREAM PLACES TO STRAY AT
#1 BATANES

First on the list, and an easy choice, is Batanes. Located at the northernmost point of the Philippines, the archipelagic Batanes is a very popular and favorite of travelers because of its picturesque landscapes that mimics New Zealand's rolling hills. Everyone who had been to Batanes can all agree that this province doesn't look like Philippines at all. Aside from the rolling hills and fresh catch from the sea, Batanes also have a rich culture and you can see that through their stone houses and the vakul, a woven headdress the farmers use.
I think the only way for public reach Batanes is through plane. I am not sure if you are allowed to travel by ship or if ever there is a route for them to Batanes. Lol. But I'm happy that it's isolated from the main islands of the Philippines because it keeps the province away from being too polluted. Batanes is actually geographically closer to Taiwan than Philippines.
I'd really like to visit this place at least once in my life but then it also scares me seeing how strong the waves are when going to the different islands of Batanes. Here's a video (on 8:53) where you see how crazy the boat ride is when traversing from one island to another. My soul might cry in fear if I were to experience this. And I told you on my older blogging challenge entry that I can't swim. Aaaaahhh!!!
#2 BOHOL

From north, let's go south! Next dream destination for Straykat is the chocolatey province of Bohol. Ooopss! They're not famous for cacao and stuff like that but rather popular for something more than that! Ever heard of Chocolate Hills? Hmmm, reading it is already appetizing, isn't it? The Chocolate Hills isn't edible (Lol) but is actually a formation of land. It's a group of more than 1,200 hills and was given the name Chocolate Hills because the grass on hills turn brown during dry season making them appear like lumps of chocolates from afar.

Of course, Bohol is not only known for that. They have the tiniest and big-eyed monkeys in the world called Tarsier, the man-made forest, Loboc river cruise, dolphin and whale watching, and a lot more. They also have amazing beaches you can unwind to. Surprisingly, we have a relative living in Bohol and gladly offered to tour us around when we get there. I wish we can really visit Bohol someday!
#3 JAPAN

Every weebs dream, of course, is to set foot on the land of anime, ramen, takoyaki, and matcha. Hahaha! This would be my younger self's purpose, but now that I'm older, my choices have become better, maybe. (Lol) There are lots of places I wish to visit in Japan. I'd like to experience the fun and modern Japanese life of Tokyo, the matcha and cultural places of Kyoto, and the foods and amusement parks of Osaka. I'd also like to see Universal Studios Japan, One Piece Tower, Akihabara, Tokyo DisneySea, do a hanami on sakura trees or visit flower parks, eat a lot of foods, and bring home lots of matcha-flavored goods! Lol.
If given the chance, I wish I can go to music festival in Japan or a show of my favorite Japanese artists. But I know getting a ticket to a Japanese to a Japanese concert is difficult. And if given more chance, I'd like to experience winter in Sapporo. And before I forget, I'd also like to visit the digital art museum in Tokyo. So cool!
I hope I can visit these amazing places with my family someday. I wonder when will that someday be. Haha!
