I was able to get a decent amount of sleep despite the late night out. After some coffee in the morning, I headed out for some last minute shopping on my way to the track. I was going to jog around the neighborhood but the overnight rain made it impossible to get the route done safely. The track was good to go and the breeze was great for a good run. As I warmed up I had a thought of stretching for a longer run but ended against the idea to take care of my back that remains a bit hurt.
However, I ended up with a completed 5K but stayed on track walking for a cooldown. The extra activity will make me less guilty for the Holiday dinner I had later in the day. I rested for the early afternoon before getting some family time for the Holiday as the kids from all the family awaited their time to open gifts. I did my best to focus on protein but the temptation of some sweets got me a bit more than I would have liked.
